Which one of these is jETT

Status quo bias is our inclination to prefer the current state of affairs and avoid change. To be sure, it didn’t stop the politicians from imposing the lockdowns in the first place, largely because other factors took precedence. But once the lockdowns were imposed, they became the new status quo, the “new normal,” and this meant that there was now a psychological resistance to removing them.

Many explanations for status quo bias have been proposed, and it’s likely that they each contribute to varying degrees. Some of the more common explanations are loss aversion, omission bias, and the sunk-cost fallacy. Let’s briefly explore these in turn.

Loss aversion is the idea that we generally prefer avoiding losses to acquiring equivalent gains. What this means practically is that we often reject a change on account of its potential drawbacks, even if they are outweighed by its potential benefits.

Another explanation is omission bias, which is our proclivity to favor acts of omission over acts of commission. In the trolley problem, for instance, people feel more justified in allowing harm to happen than in actively causing harm. This preference for inaction seems to reflect an underlying moral sentiment, but it may also involve a fear of regret, since we might expect to regret our actions more than our inactions.

astly, the sunk-cost fallacy is the tendency to justify the status quo on account of past investments, even when it has become apparent that the investments were misguided and the approach should be revised. Under this framework, our resistance to change stems from our unwillingness to admit we were wrong. The temptation is that as long as we don’t change course, we don’t have to acknowledge that we made a mistake.

Even after we manage to deviate from the status quo, we are still reluctant to change too quickly. This hesitancy is likely a manifestation of conservatism bias, which is the tendency to insufficiently revise our beliefs when presented with new evidence. Although it’s impossible to ascertain the full extent of its influence, conservatism bias offers a compelling explanation for why the restrictions were eased so slowly even after the curve had been flattened. “The lockdowns are already in place,” we told ourselves. “Why not just a little longer, just to be safe?”

Yes, put on the red scarf to identify with the Party or lose your rights.

The red scarf is a neckerchief worn by young pioneers of several countries during the socialist (“communist”) era. In the Soviet Union it was known as pionerskiy galstuk (пионерский галстук, i. e. pioneer’s neckerchief), in Vietnam as khăn quàng đỏ (red scarf), in China as hong lijin (紅領巾/红礼巾,red scarf), in Cuba as pañoleta roja (red scarf), and in Hungary as úttörőnyakkendő (pioneer’s neckerchief). Blue scarves were also used by youngsters before coming of age to wear the red one, and are still seen in some countries.

It remains in use by the young pioneer organizations of China[1], Vietnam[2], North Korea[3], and Cuba[4], and — unofficially, on occasions — in many other countries[5][citation needed], such as Russia, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Belarus, Ukraine, Finland etc. In China, the scarf is emblematic of blood of revolutionary martyrs, as recalled in Red Scarf Park and the title of Red Scarf Girl by Ji-li Jiang about her experiences during the Cultural Revolution. In Cuba, the scarf is worn by schoolchildren from first to sixth grade.[6]

PREACH!👌

Then the school tells you to leave.  If you don't the officer will try to make you leave.  If you don't the officer will arrest you for trespassing.  If you resist.  The officer will taze you to  all of our enjoyment on video, and hall you off to jail.

I am a law enforcement officer, so that's not gonna happen! As I stated before, making someone wear a mask is not about your health, it's about who's gonna be a sheep and comply with ridiculous rules, or who's gonna be a strong minded patriot and stand up to this b.s.!

I'm guessing the SH is for Spring Hill .  So if Spring Hill ISD Supt.  ask somebody to leave school property, and they refuse, and they call law enforcement.  You ask them to leave , and they still refuse.  What do you do ?

So the most basic question to know where everyone stands is, where do you draw the line on what the government can tell you to do?

Mask mandates are not "Law", as in they have not been sent before the legislature to be voted on by our representatives, so then it becomes a matter of what power is given to the executive branch in a "Pandemic".  I think there is some legal gray area there.

Beyond that, you are talking about events that are sanctioned by other entities.  Could the UIL or another state's sanctioning body require you to wear a mask if we weren't in a pandemic? What's to stop them from requiring you to do other things in the name of safety?

The virus is real and there are serious illnesses, but where do we draw the line?  Are we checking shot records at the gate to ensure we don't have a measles outbreak? I have a hard time with so many people being so complacent about being told what they can and cannot do without it being routed through the proper channels.  We basically fought for independence because we didn't like someone making rules for us without our say in it.

Fine example, police do what they want to do.

Look at the hot water EF is for not complying to the rules, they and other schools keep it up, no one will be able to attend.
