What was their coaching screaming about?  Shannon Jackson was slow getting up and I thought he was hurt but he got up. I think the coach thought he should come off the field. He screamed like a girl!

they didnt lose cause that  can tell u that

we need to find the qb so they can keep rhythm with the wrs

The QB choice, for this season at least, is pretty evident in the amount of snaps one is getting over the other.

To be fair, that team was averaging like 60 points a game.

Yea, they have a legit offense. Anderson is the real deal, and he'll be a fantastic player for LSU in whatever position he played (obviously not QB).

Defense did what needed to do. Kaden led the team offensively, like we need him to do. Second half was all Longview, even though like I said at halftime...it felt like we were controlling the entire game.

Next two weeks will be nothing like we've played in non-district, but hopefully we've done enough to prepare for the HP game.

This is the core of it right here....the next two weeks will hopefully be used to develop the passing game a little more on the short passing game and I hope the defense continues to improve...

While it'll be very important...I think the biggest element of this game may not be centered around purely defending the pass.

It's gonna be centered around something we havent seen in a while, maybe several seasons at this level.

Containing the QB.

4* athlete/safety and LSU commit Bryce Anderson is QBing this West Brook team. He's had success through the air no doubt but what most concerns me is the 343 yards and 5 TDs hes had on the ground through two games. That's over 170 ypg on the ground so far. He had 500 total yards and 6 TDs alone vs Tomball Memorial lol

It's gonna be on our front 7 to contain Anderson's feet and play disciplined assignment ball on read option plays. You wanna key on Anderson but not so much to where you lose site of a RB.

At the same time, our secondary has to be disciplined enough to stay in coverage, and let the front 7 deal with containing Anderson. So many times in the past....we gave up the big pass play vs dominant dual threats because a back safety wanted to come down and play the QB.

I nailed this post.

Man, I really gotta give it up to King. He really has this team on the right track, which is nothing short of amazing considering COVD-19 and the horrible horrible start to the season. Also SUPER impressed with the kids for rising to the challenge and putting aside childish things.

There's still a LOT of work to be done, but really proud of the kids and coaching staff.

Never any doubt,we have had worse starts and less talents but king and staff get the best out of  players may take longer some times, hints not a losing seasons in 17 years as hc.

Pay that man. Keep him happy. Give him whatever he wants.

You just don't find many John King-type coaches anymore. Certainly not in big boy football.

Wish he had another kid in school who would cry if he tried to leave and say he/she wanted to be a Lobo...

Thankfully, I think we're past the days of having to worry about him flirting with leaving for Henderson lol
