Buckeyenation86 19
Palestine will take this one easily. Henderson is going way downhill. They have the athletes but not the coaching. It was pretty apparent in the Lindale loss.

That's correct, even tho both teams have the Defense but Lindale has the RB, QB, and WR core which Henderson didn't show to have, Henderson has a line of WRS and the QB wasn't getting to,maybe the Defense from Lindale or the inexperience from The QB. LionKing12172920 63
Palestine may not have the type of RB as Lindales but The RB from Palestine is fast, that shown from the Chapel Hill game. Plus Palestine has a Defense, Henderson QB must not look for one player when you have multiple WRs to go to that's not doubled, if not then Hendo will lose the game, Cannot come out on Offense playing flat against a deceit Defense are will lose the game, that's a team that can pull off a upset if not capitalized on assignments. You have beat that horse to death on your last 5 posts..... the problem is not so much about the QB looking only at one receiver. The problem is the QB does not have time to locate any secondary receiver because of the offensive line play. They can't hold a block longer than 2 seconds. The thing about Henderson over the past 5-6 years is that they improved each game throughout the season. That is credit to a good coaching staff that continues to teach/coach and make players better each week. I just don't see that with the offensive line this year(or last year too). It doesn't appear to me they have improved since Game 1. You can say what you want concerning the QB but put anyone else back there and the problem still exists.

Henderson does always have many great athletes. I believe if they had a much better coach, they would more consistently be at or around the level of other elite programs in the area.

(1) Henderson has an excellent coach, who each season has guided his team to improve as the season continued (2) the team has competed consistently with the other elite programs in the area. In the past 5 of 6 years the Lions have been in the playoffs and have made it 4 rounds deep 3 different seasons, 1 season to the 3rd round(losing to Carthage 34-33 in the third round), and losing last year to Midlothian Heritage in the first round in the last seconds of the game. Heritage went 4 rounds deep losing to eventual State Champion Carthage. Henderson's and Coach Castles playoff record in those 5 seasons is 11-4 which I think would qualify for elite status. The past 10 years the Henderson Program has a playoff record of 22 wins and 6 losses which certainly would prove it as an elite program. Name another 4A team in the area, outside of Carthage, that has that same type of record over the past 10 years.

AllGoodNamesRGone 1,425
Good : He runs a clean program and consistently makes and goes deep like averages 3rounds each year. Bad: Surratt and doesn’t always adapt to needs of the teams, bad Oc , Defensive adjustments ect. Surratt best in the business so his numbers look worse than they really are. At the end of the day he has won 100 games over his career and is a good leader/coach. You don’t win that much by accident. Now that Carthage is out of the picture we can see how far Henderson can go.
