Not because of the talent but because of the execution....... this game resembled a JV game. Mistakes everywhere on both sides. Unreal!!!! Garrison can’t get out if their own way. From the looks of Sville had a couple of big injuries on defense. LB and DE....

Rough game for the dogs yesterday.  Started a true freshman at quarterback. He showed flashes of his potential, he just looked like a freshman making his first start at quarterback on varsity, and you can’t fault the kid, he played his heart out.  He’ll be really good in the future.

I like our offensive line a lot, an improvement over the injury riddled line we had in the back half of last year, and they’re young with room to improve, besides the Hancock kid, who will be hard to replace.  They make mistakes sometimes, but overall they move people out of the way, which is always good

Cermoderick looked natural at running back, but he’s an athlete, so that makes sense.  He’s good all over the field.
Defense looked stingy and very athletic at times, but they’ve got to limit the big plays.  Plus it’s hard when the offense turns the ball over a lot.  That will sort itself out.

The 8th grade is bringing in some big kids to pair with the freshman and sophomore skill kids.  Should be a pretty good team going forward.

On a serious note, Shelbyville’s size and defensive line is going to give Joaquin some trouble.  Going to have to hold on to the ball and tackle well.

We're gonna have to get some better execution going on offense and clean up the sloppiness if we want a chance at winning the next 2 weeks. I like the way our defense is looking, but there is still room for improvement. Overall though, this was a much needed win for the Dragons, and a dub is still a dub. Respect to Garrison for fighting their tails off the entire game. Hopefully we can come out swinging against them rams next week. The boys always do seem to play harder against Joe.
