I'll definitely take 4th.

Looks like Pottsboro dropped, which is understandable and looks like we jumped Mt. Vernon. Just curious why you jumped us over the Tigers when they didn't play? I don't disagree, just curious why now?

That may have been a different poll.  If I'm not mistaken, i've had Gladewater over Mt. Vernon for some time.  Both appear to be excellent.

Ok, I guess I though you had us 6th, but you're probably right. I see a lot of polls.

In regards to the Yoe/Troy game.  The results was not a surprise.  If it’s not the defense it’s the offense failing the Yoemen.  Last nights performance was no different.  Let’s just say the previous regime would probably be undefeated in district with this team.   The Yoemen have 2 games left for the 2020 season.  I am grateful for at least seeing them play this year.
As far as the performance of the Trojans well they have 4 plays with a few different alignments to run those plays.   Hrbacek#21 is 90% of their offense.  A good defensive team can shut them down.
As far as the rankings for district 11 they are about where they should be.

Your assessment is pretty much spot on.  The Yoe offense is simply not playing playoff quality football.  Troy is not a good defensive team as they came in giving up an average of 50 points in district, and I believe around 700 yards to McGregor.  McGregor or Cameron will probably be the 4th seed. The Yoe defense is playing well, but they are asked to do way too much.  Everyone but the #1 seed in D11 may have a hard time getting out of the first round.  Hrbacek is good, but he does pretty much everything.  They are not the same team as a year ago.

District 11  is very competitive. The reason that it is competitive is it is very mediocre.  Rockdale is just a notch above mediocrity and that is because of their running back Valdaz and can show some existence of a defense.  Then again they are capable of laying an egg as seen in earlier games.
The Yoemen have some impressive young talent coming up with the existing talent that will be returning for the 2021-2022 seasons.  Yoe fans should see the Yoemen make some deep playoff runs. Lets hope the Yoemen will have the right coaching staff in place.

Hey - Just what are our district standings looking like?

Man yalls district is very even this year no one is better than anyone and everyone has had their off games. This districts all 4 spots will all come down to final week. Haven’t been able to say that about a Cameron district in a very long time.

Lorena @ Yoe

Or, you know, we could just walk them right down the field with penalties.
Lorena 7-0 after one possession.

Offense showed some spark, but sputtered. Sure looked like pass interference on that drive-killing 3rd down.
Lorena 7-3

Leopards fumble, Yoemen in business on their side of the field...
Ends with a hard-earned 4-yd TD pass.
Yoe 10-7

Okay, anyone watching the game - Is it just me or was that the second pretty obvious pass interference by Lorena that didn't get called?

Zeinart evens up the turnover margin with an INT at the Lorena 15, Leopards moving...

Lorena punt, Brazile makes a good return off the bounce. Zeinart hits Hemphill on a great pass, he gets to the 1...
This OL has got to do some blocking...
Johnson finally bulls in on 3rd down.
Yoe 17-7. 3:17 left in the half

I started to say Yoe needs to watch for a long pass on this possession. There it was...
Other than long catch, Yoe D is lucky Lorena is misfiring in their passing game, because they've had receivers open...

Wow. Zeinart busts a good run on 3rd and 16 (Come on, OL), but fumbles at the end. Lorena ball 1:30 to half...

D holds, 17-7 Yoe at half

Yoe gets the ball to start the second half, OL puts us at 3rd & 17, punt...

Lorena gets a big run on 3rd & 11 to extend their drive, then a big pass for TD.
Yoe 17-14

Yoe 3 & out again. Lorena 12 yds on 1st down. Holding call makes 1st & 15, long pass on 2nd to Yoe 31...

Lorena comes up short and turns ball over on downs. Holding penalty gets us 1st & 20, then loss of 2 gets us 3rd & 22, Zeinart gets chased immediately all the way back to the 1. Almost gave up a safety. Come on, OL. At least we got a roll on the punt for 51 yds..

3rd & 1 Leopards get 8 yes. Aaanndd, a BS personal foul. So 1st & goal Lorena at the Yoe 9. 3yeds, another 3yds...
Yoe 17-14 with Lorena 3rd & goal at the 3, end of the 3rd. We took the 2and half kickoff, and didn't get a first down the whole quarter.

TD Leopards to start the 4th.
Lorena 21-17

And we drop the kickoff, Lorena's offense back to work at our 32.

Two guys drag Gil down to the ground. Where is the officiating crew from???

Aaanndd, Leopards sprint into the endzone, and just for a bonus we get a dead ball personal foul soon as the play is over
Lorena 28-17, just under 11 minutes to go

Lorena tries an onside kick, kicks it out if bounds AND were offside, so Yoe gets good field position. New QB, Muniz, in. Moving the ball with the rush... Get to the Leopards 10, and here comes their D getting through the line, 3rd & goal at the 11... Delay of game, 3rd & 16 is a missed pass, settle for a FG.
Lorena 28-20, 7:38 left

Leopards eating yards and clock. Few yards here, few yards there, first down, repeat. Luckily Yoe gets a turnover inside their 20. 1st down, "Protection breaks down immediately", 2nd down Lorena D right through the line to tackle the rusher, Muniz under pressure immediately on 3rd down, finally on 4th down he gets a long pass to midfield. Guess what? 1st down, Muniz under pressure immediately, doesn't see his pass not caught because he's on his back. Same on 2nd. 3rd down, Munoz sacked as soon as he gets the snap, same on 4th.

See a pattern here?

6 seconds left, Lorena kneels it out for the 28-20 win

The Cameron Yoemen has the most under achieving coaching staff in 3a.  When will this current administration and school board open their eyes up to this travesty.  There is too much talent on this team and it’s just being wasted.
The Yoe community deserve better.

Most  of the Yoe fan base knew what they were getting  when Brashear was hired. The administration and members inside the school board ran interference for the hire.

Some of the Head Coach/AD hires to fill out his staff could and should  be questioned.

Yoe will have talent coming back next season, but how they will develop under Brashear and staff remains to be seen.

Yoe fans motto for the last few years has been wait until next year.

Sometimes luck and talent over come a incompetent  staff.  May be that state title is still out for Brashear   only time will tell.

Good luck Yoe fans, always remember Miller in Rockdale got lucky . Got a feeling Rockdale may win another before Brashear.
