The Paris gameplan is to burn clock and try to maintain possession on offense and play tough defense to keep the score close.  They do have some backs that can break runs......that's how they play and win.  They don't score lots of points on anybody.......but have managed to beat some pretty good teams using this scheme.

Paris scores on their drive.......14-7 now.  Looks like QB Hohenberger is doing an excellent job fooling the Argyle D on handling the hand-offs and fakes.  With the speed of the Wildcats RB's they are beating Argyle on the fakes and to the corners.  Holding the LB's just long enough that the D-backs have no help out there.

Argyle got some penalties and was forced to punt.  Now Paris has the ball again and is working their running attack with ball control.  Now Hohenberger is hit behind the line and fumbles it.....Argyle scoops it up and runs it 35 yds for a TD.  That  was going to be a big sack, but Argyle got there so fast that it surprised Hohenberger.

Good play to end the half by Paris on that catch and pitch to the trailing back, but was stopped by Argyle well short of the goal line with no time left.  So far Paris is hanging tough and working their ball control offense pretty well.  Their defense is as advertised and their speed on defense is very impressive.  Offensively, their QB Hohenberger does an excellent job reading the defense and making the right decisions most of the time.  He's kept the ball several times for nice open field gains.

Paris definitely caused some problems for Argyle offensively in the first half and got  them out of their comfort zone.  Too many run attempts IMO against this run-stop defense of the Wildcats. I think the Argyle coaches will make some halftime adjustments to open up the offense a little more in the 2nd half......that should open up the running game better and create some holes that are being closed now.  You just cannot plow down every defense you meet......Paris  is too quick to do that with consistently.  They can recover very quickly.

Argyle has not thrown the ball this half.......surprise surprise.  They just  punt it back to Paris to the 4 yd line.  I guess Coach Rodgers is fine burning clock with this 2 TD lead and wants to shorten this game too. That's the only thing it can be.  He probably wants to protect Rogers and make this game go quickly since Paris runs it all the time too.

Now they throw a flag on Argyle defender for falling over Hohenberger when he ran him out of bounds.  He fell over him trying to avoid him.......but they are flag-happy here tonight and one ref still threw the flag.  It was not really warranted......but gives Paris new life. It was 3rd and 17 and that was the only way for Paris to not punt.

Paris jumps offsides and gives Argyle a free play.......CJ throws it into the endzone for a really good interception, but it's a first down due to the offsides.  Now CJ throws a jumpball to Cole Kirkpatrick in the endzone and he comes down with it for an amazing catch.  TD Argyle.

As soon as Argyle went back to the pass they scored......but in the whole process has really shortened this game.
