They have a solid resume.  Lost to La Vega by 3, Springtown by 10, and Salado by 5.  They played one East Texas team - Palestine - and won 14-7.  I think it will be a tight ball game.  Maybe like the Center vs Van game in the 31-28 type range.

I was close!

This is a very even matchup. Whoever punts first loses.

Is this considered a pretty big upset?  I haven’t seen what the media thought about this game, but I would assume a lot of people were picking Connally in this game.

Though most had Connally winning this game, I wouldn't say it was a upset. These teams were evenly matched, imo.

Refs seem dazed and confused. smh

Or it could be that the officials were following the rules and consulting with the coaches to determine if they wanted the 10-second run-off and if the offending coach wanted to use a time out so there would not be one (or in this game - two different ones).

Gotta love those refs in the stands!

The 10 second runoff wasn’t the question.  It was the fact that the clock kept running even though there was no play.  It seemed off but maybe it was accurate.  I guess a team could just have 4 false starts in a row to run out the last minute and never snap the ball.

2014 when he was with Bells, they beat Clarksville in the Bi-district round.

You are right.  He beat 2-9 Clarksville in 2014 for his only playoff win while at Bells.  I had it mixed up with 2015 when he lost to Clarksville.
