You wouldn't know science if it spit in your eye. From the Mayo Clinic: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-mask/art-20485449

You don't trust the MAYO CLINIC?

Where are their control studies showing that masks work?

C'mon @BarryLaverty.  I'd like to trust the MAYO CLINIC.  But you are making it difficult without posting their studies and data.

I find it interesting that you always have a friend coworker that is suffering from the disease. Reality if you don’t have an underlying condition, elderly, or terrible health problems that you don’t have much to be concerned with. You can’t prevent death. Your number is up and is predetermined.

I wouldn't be shocked if you didn't have any friends or co-workers, as you are a clueless, blathering idiot in need of a cork for his oversized mouth.

Your deflecting again Barry. True sign of a lunatic socialist.

Not deflecting, as your implication that I am making something up is insulting and messed up. I attended a funeral yesterday for the lady I grew up with, and my wife's secretary has been gone on and off for her son for weeks on end. Another man my brother graduated with died at 59, and he had no preexisting conditions. Is that specific enough for you?

So, Lion, you are about to go back on ignore again, because you thrive on being pointless, and I shouldn't get mad at you, because I don't think you can help it. You got something else to say? Is that straight forward enough?

So you believe in a predetermined life--we don't get choices, they were already made for us? We can't extend out life by exercising and taking care of ourselves? Wow, then I guess I should just quit walking 5-10 miles a day to keep my heart pumping, to stay in shape, so that my heart doesn't get clogged again. If you are saying that there is some all powerful plan, then no matter what I do, when it's my time, it my time.

Well, I for one do NOT believe that. I believe you make your own choices, your own destiny--if not, then why have children and try to teach them to better than me. SMH.

We know the death number is probably inflated due to counting deaths that weren’t really from Covid. And we know case numbers are under reported due to lack of testing, false negatives, people who are asymptomatic and have it without knowing, so that changes that 3% number to something lower.

The fact still remains that we are allowing fear to rule our lives and allow a government to overstep their bounds to impose their will on citizens without going through proper channels.

The Real Math--@DannyZuco  LOL.

11.6 million cases

250,000 deaths from those who they say have died from Covid-19

That is 2.155172% of the population that has actually gotten the Covid. So that number is correct in Barry's world.

328.2 million total people in the United States

0.076173% of total population has died from the Covid. Meaning Carthdawg is correct in his world. So which number is correct--Both--but fear mongers spread the higher number, while "I don't carers" spread the lower number. LOL.

All this is according to the numbers provided by the CDC.

Of course, we have to dig deeper into what underlying conditions did these people have when they died from the Covid?

Were they already terminal with their other disease? Did they know about their other problems? I'd have to spend a lot more time finding out those numbers.

My figures were a simple matter of total alleged Covid illnesses divided by 100 to determine the figure that represents 1% of the group & then dividing the deaths by the 1% figure to determine the percentages to arrive @ 99.48% survival rate. The total US Population wasn’t a factor in my number at all, because the total population will not be affected directly.

You'll get that smirk off your face when you lose a loved one or get sick yourself. You remind me of those sad, terrible people in the Dakotas where the nurses report that patients who are dying are still in denial that COVID even exists all the way to their death.

No, because death is a part of life.  Illnesses are a part of life, and life must go on.  I accept death as such, because I know that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.  There is no  sting with death only peace and no more suffering.  As I have stated in the past this isn't even as bad as the 1918 Spanish Influenza.  If we reach 3 million deaths then I will say it was just as bad.  If there are 5 million deaths then I will say it was really bad.  The chances of survival are great, and if I get it I will not go to the hospital.  I'll ride it out or die with it at home.  As I also have stated, if you are so scared of this virus then by all means stay at home, and do not get out.  Even going to the grocery store or if they deliver food to your home, you are still at risk if they person that delivers it has the virus.  You simply want all of us to live like hermits, and that is impossible.  Today I found out that our Christmas Party was cancelled at work.  Why ?  We all work together so if one of us gets it, they'll spread it.  It doesn't matter if it's at work or at a party.  I will not live my life in fear.

So you attended a super spreader event - funeral, and didn't take into account what you're saying on here.  You are such a hypocrite.  Quit telling others how to live their lives when you yourself are taking risks.  Even I wouldn't attend a funeral or go to any event where there are large amounts of people (10 or more) I don't know who are in close contact with.  I do still shop for groceries, but I avoid people when I am there.  I'm trying hard to just use cash for purchases so that I'm not touching the buttons on the credit card machine, but what have many places done ?  Only allow credit card purchases.  The same with Wal Mart and their stupid gates.  I needed one item from there, and they were out.  I wanted to exit the fastest way I could.  A stupid alarm went off, and I had to go through the self checkout area where I had to walk closely by numerous people.

The way to protect yourself from the virus is using common sense that you would use during regular cold and flu season.  Wash your hands frequently, and don't be in close proximity to people that you do not know who may be in the early stages or who are asymptomatic.

He needs to read about the Good King Hezekiah in Isaiah 38:1- 39:8.  Our lives can be increased or decreased based on how we live our lives as his was by 15 years.  He was also punished for his vanity of an earthly life of wanting to live longer.  There is no predestination, for we all have choices and God gives us free will.   There are many today that desire to take those choices away as well as our freedoms.  They follow man, and not God.  They follow men of Science, and not the One who has more intelligence then all learned men combined.  They still haven't figured out how the Earth was created, but He knows how to create stars without number.  Everything that man creates or manipulates as the Wuhan virus is, He can destroy.  He is allowing this, because He knew this day would come when pestilence and disease would happen in the last days.  I'm more worried about keeping my lamp full of oil, than wearing a mask, but i do when I'm around strangers, and I don't come in close contact with anyone if possible.

No, because it doesn't bother me.  Only a Karen would call out someone who isn't wearing a mask.

You need to get out more. It's the crazed Karens not wearing masks and melting down when called out on it.

And I sat in the back of the church, 20 feet away from others, didn't speak directly to anyone at the funeral and slipped out the back, you incredibly self righteous know it all.

Virtue signal much? On top of all that you call someone else self righteous. Wow.

But by gosh, Gavin and his elite lobbyist can go out and have dinner together without wearing mask, and then lied to the press about it being outdoors. And the liberal media gave him a pass--now that is hypocracy at its finest. I am sure that Barry will condemn this behavior--won't you Barry.

Hmm, then why am I only seeing and stories of people attacking those aren't wearing masks ?  One day I wasn't wearing my mask while pumping gas, and a lady screamed at me for not doing so.  I told her to stay away from me then, plus we were never required to wear a mask while pumping gas.

You didn't say that you didn't extend your condolences.  I would expect that at a funeral one would express how they felt about the departed to the bereaved.  You did not mention that.  I know how I've felt when I've lost someone close to me.  I hate funerals as it is, and I will not attend another funeral for the rest of my life, even if one of my brothers passes away.  I also hope no one attends my funeral when it happens.  The way I see it, one should express their fondness while a person is alive, and not after their dead.  It doesn't matter then, there's bigger fish to fry on the other side, mansions to be built, and vineyards to be kept.

I could hear multiple people gasping for air due to Covid when I was in the hospital.  I will never forget that.
