MAGA Protesters Chant ‘Destroy the GOP’ at Pro-Trump Rally

Protesters, mostly maskless, gathered in D.C. from across the country this weekend to show their support for President Trump and express their refusal to accept the 2020 presidential election results. At one point, the crowd chanted “Destroy the GOP!” to express their anger with the party for failing to keep Trump in the White House. The rally was held just one day after the Supreme Court delivered a likely fatal blow to Trump’s hopes of remaining in power.

According to the Washington Post, thousands of protesters were in the D.C. streets for the “Stop the Steal” event on Saturday, but not nearly as many as the pro-Trump protest one month ago.

A motley crew of pro-Trump figures was in attendance, including conspiracy theorist Alex Jones; Trump’s disgraced former national security advisor Michael Flynn, who was pardoned by Trump; and former Trump foreign policy adviser Sebastian Gorka. The president even flew over the gathered crowd in Marine One en route to a football game at West Point.

In his speech, Flynn tried desperately to keep hope alive that the president would somehow manage to overturn the democratically chosen President-elect Biden, despite the fact that thus far every one of his attempts has been thwarted. The speech was Flynn’s first public remarks since Trump pardoned him in late November.

 

“Don’t get bent out of shape… There are still avenues,” Flynn said, adding, “We’re fighting with faith, and we’re fighting with courage.”

He continued, “The courts aren’t going to decide who the next president of the United States is going to be. We the people decide.”

Flynn’s sister also attended and gave a hilarious rendition of “God Bless America” by forgetting the song’s basic lyrics.

Even minor MAGA celebrity Mike Lindell, AKA the My Pillow guy, tried to inject hope into the crowd. “Last night, about two in the morning, I got a text from [Trump lawyer] Sidney Powell’s team, and the Texas lawsuit [rejected by the Supreme Court] had nothing to do with what she’s been working hard on,” he said. “And she filed her lawsuits with the Supreme Court for Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona… I have seen it, the fraud is 100 percent, and Donald Trump will be our president for four more years!”

But Jones delivered a less hopeful message. “The system is publicly stealing this election from the biggest landslide and the biggest political realignment since 1776,” Jones screamed to cheers from the crowd.

Also in attendance were members of the hate group Proud Boys, which the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as “anti-Muslim and misogynistic.” And Enrique Tarrio, the group’s leader, even posted on Parler a photo of the White House, claiming that he was invited there. The White House, however, claims that Tarrio only attended a public tour. As White House spokesman Judd Deere told The Daily Beast, “He was on a public WH Christmas tour. He did not have a meeting with the President nor did the WH invite him.”

Despite these protesters’ efforts, the Electoral College is still scheduled to vote on Monday, and the vote will make Biden’s victory official.

There's Retired bringing home the true answer....there is no more room for Republicans anymore in that party. You have to be a QAnon believing, Proud Boy supporting, Tea Party throwback, unless you want to be verbally and maybe physically abused, have your patriotism questioned, even have your household threatened these days, unless you join up with them. This is the party of Trump, if he has his way, as he goes out the door.

Ask any Republican from Georgia in office how they feel about that or Governor Ducey of Arizona or anyone Republican in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania.

And, I don't watch TV news. I prefer to get my news off 'secret' places on 4chan or obscure Twitter accounts or through talk radio or Parler or 'News'max. Oh, wait, that's your kind of folks!

What Barry, and the other Socialist don’t understand, Trump is not a Republican politician.   That’s the reason the Chinese bought politicians, of both parties, hated him so much.   That’s the reason the Chinese released this virus on the world.  No way Trump loses without the mail in vote.   A system so susceptible to fraud even the NYT’s wrote an article on it.   Millions died but the Chinese don’t care.  The Democrats don’t care.   Pelosi hated Trump so much, she squashed anymore Relief Checks, needed desperately by millions, simply because she didn’t want the peasants thinking Trump had anything to do with it.  What a sick bunch they are.

I see why you’re a Democrat.   Your obvious inability to understand my post speaks volumes.  But for your edification, I’ll explain things to you.

He ran as a Republican, but he’s been a businessman & was a Democrat most of his life - similar to Bernie Sanders, whose listed as an Independent, but ran for President as a Democrat.  Ergo, Trump is not a Republican in the sense of lifelong allegiance to the Party, or agreeing 100% with the RNC.  Most of our politicians don’t make decisions on their votes.  The RNC & especially the DNC, tells them how to vote.  I still remember when a vote might be 150 D & 100 R for a Bill and 100 R and 50 D against a Bill.  Do you see that anymore?  No!   The puppet masters don’t play that game.

Members of both parties hate him.  All Democrats (who hate anything pro American, and some Republicans.  Many are owned, such as the Biden Cartel, by the Chinese.

Again, voting by mail is fraught with fraud.  If you don’t realize that, you’re beyond help.

Actually, worldwide, only 1.6 Million, but I’m sure it will soon reach the two million mark.  But kudos to you for catching the one error.

I hope this post will enlighten you.  If so, I will feel the same exhilaration you must feel when one of your students starts to excel.

Indicted for what?   Having the best Peace Time economy ever?   For curtailing N. Korea’s missile  firing?   For establishing peace agreements in the Middle East?   For operation Warp Speed which resulted in a vaccine in record time?   For making ISIS a non existing threat?   Oh wait, I know - for raising tariffs on China.  Heaven knows the Dems hated that.

Yes, by all means.  Let’s indict him
