Slickarick
So I thought A&m was supposed to play ou.. or was I mistaken?
JohnnyFootball
You were mistaken. Bowl tie ins meant that the highest ranked SEC team not in the playoffs would go Orange while the next would go Cotton. A&M finished higher than Florida so they went to the Orange Bowl. It would've been a better game than either this game or our game will be- both would be at full strength.
Slickarick
My question is my North Carolina and not a higher ranked team. Just leave me scratching my head.
Valhalla
Orange Bowl has to take the highest ranked ACC team not in the playoff I believe. That’s North Carolina.

I'm tired of playing in meh Texas bowl games (and the Cotton Bowl is a great game, but we've played at Jerry World too many times over the years) against former Big XII teams. The Orange Bowl will be an awesome change of scenery.

I still believe we hold the Orange Bowl record for most fumblerooskies ran in a row because of him.
