Starting QB was out for precautions to let previous injury have time to heal, so Pendergrass and a freshman were in the backfield. Jackets controlled the whole first half, with Pendergrass having 2 TD runs of around 50ish and 70ish. Defense was doing really well also...score at half was 14-3. 3rd quarter kind of started with some 3and outs for both teams and later in the 3rd Pendergrass had a pick 6 to make it 21-3. I think the Jackets tried to open up a little on Offense on the next drive because Canton was bring everyone into the box to stop the run. Eagles intercepted at about midfield. I think right at the end of the 3rd the Eagles had a pass where their tall WR split the seam and caught a TD to make it 21-10. Next is when the turn-overs started...I believe it was back to back fumbles that lead to 2 TD drives by Canton to make it 24-21 with about 2:30 left and the Jackets couldn't get any thing going. Overall the Jackets were in control until the turnovers started and it was a game they should have won...hopefully a lesson learned. Defense looked good until the 4th when they were on the field for a very long time and got worn down. Saw that on the Football Friday app and there was a player hurt late in the game but I don't know any status. The starting QB didn't suit up but from what I heard in the stands he will be back.
