That big bodied #9 wideout for Westlake is as big as Argyle's TE Jasper Lott that had umpteen D1 offers all over the map, but decided to stay home and play at TCU.

I recorded a 10-12 minute interview with Todd Dodge this afternoon for Monday's show on SicEm365 Radio. There are numerous tie-in's even from the days when Todd won a state championship with SLC at Ri

Lol, I was just posting about that on Westlake score thread.   What a great moment for that family.  👍😄👍

This game was supposed to be Wk 1 at AT&T....right before the Longview-Temple game. But covid killed it. Funny how the football gods work. Westlake will win it but damn....do yall realiz

That Westlake QB is a good one for sure......just took another keeper around the left side the distance for another score......except for the holding call.  But he looked good doing it!

He’s outplayed Ewers by far, and plays with a lot more confidence. I get Ewers is a 5* and the top recruit in the nation for 2022, his tools and raw talent are there, no question, and the arm strength is something else, but Klubnik has looked like the more complete player tonight.

Daddy Dodge's team is showing they are just a more complete ball club than Junior's squad tonight.  Kinda expected it to go this way......and it has.

WL’s QB mobility gives him a big advantage.

When Westlake beat North Shore, that made them the favorites, imo.

Ball fumbled by the Carroll QB......Westlake recovers.   Same theme the entire 2nd half.......Westlake's D just dominated in the backfield of SLC and put so much pressure on Ewers he just had no time to find receivers.  And lots of times the receivers were covered anyway.

Westlake is just a great team and their Klubnik outplayed Ewers.
SLC defense struggled all night against that Westlake offense.
Now we all have to wait for high school football........

Jaden Greathouse.

Only a sophomore. Rated the #2 WR in TX for the 2023 class behind Longview's Jalen Hale. If he ends up a TE prospect, he's rated the #1 TE prospect for the 2023 class.

Westlake actually has two long term FBS sophomore WRs. Longview too for that matter.

I was amazed at how many underclassmen started on these teams. I've always been at 3A and smaller schools where it was the norm but I always figured that at the largest classifications you would have very few freshmen or sophs starting. Both of these teams are young with both qb's coming back next year as well as many of the skilled kids. Looks like a rematch in the making for next year!!! I was really impressed with Klubniks speed and I think if Ewers had a little time (like he did early in the game) he could have kept pace with the scoring. I really think Ewers was a better pure passer, given time to throw, but Klubnik was the better all around qb last night. Gonna be fun to watch these young men develop!!
