BevBrownJr
A very nice season for a team that didn’t start until late December. The most successful CHS basketball team ever lost to Kerrville Tivy in the state tournament in 1970. The coach was Bill Tatum, and the players included seniors Paul Leggett (played baseball at Sam Houston) and Larry Tipton (played basketball at Panola Junior College) and junior Johnny Carter (played basketball at Panola and East Texas Baptist).

Yes. Very good season. We've made some good runs the last few years in basketball (historically speaking where Ctown round ball is concerned.) I'll take the one month late start for that 8th title in football any day of the week. Ol' Bill Tatum. Called him Goose one time back in Jr High while walking past him in the hallway. He heard me. Man could swing a mean paddle. Brought tears to this Bullpup's eyes that morning. Talk about stingin'. Wooweee!

Hagar
Huffman vs Argyle Saturday. Will be low scoring. Appears both have great D.
