DaveTV1
https://www.latimes.com/obituaries/story/2021-03-26/beverly-cleary-childrens-author-obituary While many of her books were set in the 50's I enjoyed them. I was introduced to her and E.B. White in the first grade by my teacher Mrs. Follis. Growing up in the 70's I could relate to Henry Huggins and his dog Ribsy. I even sold Grit back in the day to make a little extra spending money, since kids didn't have paper routes then in Longview. Her writings as well as E.B.'s were during a simpler time, and kids didn't have to worry about what sexuality they might be.

Stoney
Ralph S. Mouse and his motorcycle. That was one of my favorites as a kid. Ramona the Pest. She wrote for kids without having to dumb things down for them. There was no agenda behind her writing.

There was a old stop motion movie made of it. That was like the go to rainy day, teacher hangover movie during school.
