I say this not to brag, but to inform:

I make in the low six figures. I'm not gonna drop a hundred grand on a Tesla (and even more for the upgrades to my house that would probably have to go along with it) right now. Even if I wanted to. I bought a $28,000 Honda Accord Hybrid at the end of 2019, and I paid if off in about a year (on a 6 year note). Now I'm working on sinking extra money into my mortgage, and I can have my house paid off in under 3 years, if I do it right.

If Joe Biden wants me driving a Tesla (or any other electric car) anytime in the near future, his Administration can buy me one. Now, if I end up somehow being filthy rich in the next four or five years, I probably won't care as much.
