They spelled impeach and socialist correctly, but misspelled "brain" and "moron". For some reason, that's amusing.

It makes you wonder if Barry finds it funny that there are others born & raised in America who can neither speak OR spell correctly as Adults... Perhaps some of these failures can be traced back to the classroom where certain teachers give far less than a Damn.

If you can use the Internet to look up QAnon nonsense and follow Trump on Twitter, then you can damn sure use a spell checker before you paint something for the world to see on a billboard. I have very little sympathy for anyone who willfully remains ignorant. And, every teacher I know who has lasted beyond a moment in this profession has given a damn about the kids in front of them, coming early and staying late, working year round on bettering their skills and knowledge. You can lead a horse to water, sometimes, but you can not and should not make them drink. Stupid is as stupid does, sirs.

#####. In the time that I have been in public education, we have become much more demanding, innovative, and progressive, and we have prepared a generation in Texas with higher expectations and skills than the generation before this one or any other. This in spite of relentless attack by ideologues and government haters and profiteers trying to pretend they know how to reinvent the wheel.

You don't know where half the goobleygook you spew comes from, but you carry water for it all the time. It quite often originates with Qers and radio hosts and Dark Web weirdies.

Wait, wait, wait... Again, I don't come around these parts often, but Barry is a "teacher"?  An "educator"?

That is sad and disgusting. I was just about to eat lunch, but now I'm nauseous.  I will still eat lunch, cuz F*** Barry, but still... ill have to wait a minute.

I saw an article once from California (I believe) that actually said there were schools that let kids use "leet speak" (i.e. writing gr8 instead of the word "great", and the letter U to represent the word "you"), and they apparently weren't counted off for it.

I've also heard of districts forbidding teachers from using red pens/markers to grade, because it apparently makes the students feel bad, or something, if there's too much red on their paper.

My understanding, too, is that at one point Dallas ISD was going to put a "floor" on grades of 50. In other words, if you did none of your assignments, or turned them in and got all the questions wrong, you'd still get a 50 in the class.

That’s 100% believable but terribly sad.

I’m all for holding them to stricter standards while letting them know that we believe they are capable of great things.
Instead we hand out grades like welfare and expect them to strive to do better? madness

There are many districts in Texas that floor grades at 50--at least my school district says that if you give a grade below 50 on a report card, you had better have sufficient documentation of the students work and parental notification.
