This has been a really good ballgame. My official count is 7 SH Panthers not suited up.  The ones that played left ot in the field.  Just needed to make a few more plays.  Hats of the Sabine.  They are short handed also but just made more plays.  #7 is a great player.

See yall in SH next week. Hope everyone is healthy.

Surprised SH played this game with so many kids out. Do they count as forfeits this year if you have a Covid outbreak?

Non district games that cancel are a no contest and don’t count.  Basically it’s like they were never scheduled.  District games that are cancelled count as a forfeit and a loss.

Even with guys out there’s no reason to cancel. Get the other ones some reps, it’s just pre-district. Win/Loss doesn’t matter, everyone’s just trying to get better

Agree.  The removal of the “death wish” contact tracing should allow for most games to play, unless the administration chooses to shut down school and extracurricular activities.

SH had plenty of depth even with the guys out.

We dressed 33, with two in shorts and 5 not in attendance.  In that 33 we had a bunch of kids getting their first varsity action last night.  4 OL, QB, WR, 2 DL, LB, 2 DB’s.  They grew up a little bit for sure and will add to the depth when everyone gets back.

Hats off to SH for playing a lot of teams would have been looking for a way out.

Nah man it’s just next man up.  We would have played with 15.  Unfortunately every team is going to face this kind of adversity this fall.  Some more than others.  If it hasn’t affected your team yet just get ready because it will.  The saving grace from a football standpoint is the removal of contact tracing.  But every player and parent must keep the team ahead of themselves & their kids.  If you are sick or have symptoms stay at home!
