SH has a BS no train horn rule, they act like it’s a town ordinance, but they let em in at PT and Longview has horns too. I’ll cook up an electric horn next visit over there to counter that panther prowl thing they do. Maybe like an ooga horn or 12v air raid siren. There’s always ways to skirt the rules.

We don’t have a no horn policy Racer, at least not that I’m aware of.  I just told you that so you would leave your’s at home!  It worked!  Remember the 90/10 rule.  90% of what I say on here is not true or is “stretched” and 10% is fact.  The trick is to figure out which is which.

Lol I alternate the horns here and there, keeps people guessing. I also barley blow the train horns at first to give ppl a heads up so they don’t go full Karen and say they didn’t expect it. Some don’t like it at all and some really enjoy it. The ship horn truly is one of a kind in the horn collecting community. Truth be told I spent almost 5g’s to get it. I believe it is one of 2 in private hands not in a museum or on a battleship museum somewhere. U should be thankful to hear it truthfully.

Some guy named Seth called in and was talking about how Atlanta was not happy with the horn. That show has become a joke anyways. I turned it on in Mt Pleasant and maybe listened to 15 minutes of the actual show and the rest was commercials. All they seem to do now is update scores. It was better when they did more phone calls.

The police at the game said that they’re not allowed and specifically told our supt about it. They saw em in the parking lot and we had already asked about it. They also in the past said we couldn’t have them there. I just heard someone mention SH might have some bow and that’s why I was asking that day. It’s cool, we’ll have something to counter that panther prowl in a couple years anyways.

Lol, yeah the facebook announcers were a lil chipy all game long. The horn just made it worse for em. They were quite colorful announcers. They seemed young and would exaggerate a lot here and there. even mention hoping we would sink like the titanic at one point. Someone in our stands mentioned to me their comments so I had to watch it. It was funny hearing them pause when I hit it. They were complaining about me honking for a FG and like XP’s. Man people that have watched Newton play should know that there guy honks at everything. First downs, turnovers and anything good for their team. Newton’s horn setup is higher pitch and or louder than mine. He’s got a train horn and big yacht horn on a remote. Harleton also honked their horn on fumbles and first downs and all. He would even honk on fumbles we had that we even recovered. Atlanta’s just the first school to not like it, but TBH they’re complaining alot about all kinds of things, it’s just the horn puts the cherry on top.

I did get a laugh out of our dude-karen on the Football Fridays app though. I know who he is, and he's very much a dude-karen. Who decides to live in a home next to a football stadium and complain about noise on Friday nights? Good Lord man

Hey man, Atlanta looked good those first couple of drives. I thought for a bit that we wouldn’t be able to stop y’all all game. The QB can throw the ball well. Not bad on the running game either. I do think if y’all would have stuck with the run more in the second half y’all could have converted some 3rd or 4th downs. It just wasn’t y’all’s night though. Good luck to y’all moving forward.

A lot of people collect train horns. Trains everywhere all over the U.S.. A lot of ex railroad workers that collect em. A lot of younger people that collect em to scare people too. Ship horns though is a smaller community. Some collect em for what ship it came off of. One guy has the one off the USS United States. It’s the same one the Queen Mary has in Cali. That joker is like 3 times the size of mine. He was offered 25k for the horn and turned it down. If that thing went off man watch out. Lol. There’s also air warning fog horns for light houses and fire houses. Those were big on the coasts and the north east fire houses still have a lot of those In use. You’d be surprised how many actually collect horns. Theirs also a few air raid sirens hooked up to a full size v8 hemi. As far as horns at sports venues, it started at hockey games. They’re the ones that have ship horns at a lot of stadiums across the US. I just took that idea to the TX HS Fball level. Lol. My background came from when my grandfather was a truck driver and would let me honk the horn when he came in sometimes. Kids love that going down the highway always wanting trucks to honk the horn. For football I watched Jasper play Gilmer in state at SFA and Jasper had a horn. So we got one when I was playing for WO, and that’s how it started.

I don't know if you're aware but the Rabbittv is all student run including the announcers. I think they do a fantastic job for mostly 16 or 17 year old kids.

I agree. I think the path to a W was to keep to the run and wear down WO's defense by keeping them on the field and keeping your QB (Player of the Game) off the field. IMO, we went too pass heavy in the playbook and our D ended up staying on the field too long.
