nacdragon07 Posted October 2, 2021 Share Posted October 2, 2021 Well both teams are sitting at 1-1 in District play both wins are by Whitehouse Nac definitely had it’s chances to move to 2-0 against Pine Tree but failed to do so after turning the ball over three times. MP comes to town in a pivotal Match up. We were 0-2 last year heading into this game so we are in better shape this go around but we need to win this one come Friday! Nacwagons Posted October 2, 2021 Share Posted October 2, 2021 A loss by Nac in this one puts them on the outside looking in for the 4th playoff spot and will be down on H2H to 2 teams they could end up tied with at the end of the season. A win by Nac puts them in good shape for at least the 4th spot. Nac at some point has to have someone step up and make the play to win the game. Nacwagons Posted October 3, 2021 Share Posted October 3, 2021 Not a huge History between MP and Nac they have only played 15 times. Nac leads the series 10-5. Nac has won 6 of the 7 meetings played since 1998. Nac and MP did not play each other from 1977-1997. Both teams are 1-1 in district with wins over Whitehouse. Nac lost to PT 18-13 and MP lost to TH 44-13. The winner of this game gets a leg up for the 4th playoff spot. Nac has Jax, Hallsville, TH and Marshall left MP has PT, Jax, Hallsville and Marshall left. Assuming MP/Nac lose to TH and Marshall and beat Jax, Hallsville the MP/PT game would carry a lot of weight as it could create a 3 way tie and bring points into the equation. We have a long way to go still and I am not assuming any wins for Nac, just thinking ahead. MATHEMATICALLY.... not even the loser of the WH/Hallsville game is eliminated THIS week. PRACTICALLY they would be....but they would still have a chance. Either of them would have to win-out.... which would mean Hallsville would have to beat Marshall, PT, Nac, and MP. Not likely. or Whitehouse would have to beat Texas High, Marshall, PT, and Jax.....extremely not likely. So many huge games remaining even after this week. A Nac win over MP and then a MP win over PT would create a 3 way tie for 3rd and 4th, if Nac/MP/PT beat Jax, Hallsville and WH and lose to TH and Marshall. That's a lot of assumptions since anything can happen. A MP win over Nac and Nac would be down H2H to MP and PT and would be rooting for one of the two to lose to someone else. Nac could not afford another loss in district if they lose to MP unless MP loses to someone they shouldn't lose to. Even if they won out the chances are high that they are tied with someone they have lost H2H to and would be down in points to them as well. Plus our offense is very stagnant and vanilla. We run basically five plays over and over again. With only one credible WR.
