oldowl60
I recomend it to you young folks if you have not seen it. It is timeless. Good history, Reality, good story, great acting. I saw it again (seen it a few times over the years), and always see something I didnt notice before. Westerns are "out" now, but this is truley a great old movie Bests: 1. best fight. when you think it is over, its not 2.best sexual tension. Allen Lad and Bea Arther 3. best line. "you're a lowdown yankee liar" said two times. 4. best gunfight. cant think of a better one 5. best final scene. "come back Shane"

I'd like to know the name of that movie. I remember one call " the fastest gun allive" or something like that. I think Glen Ford was in it. They took sections out of the film ,like from when his hand was on the gun, to when the shot was fired to make it faster. It did not come close to Shane. "Wison is fast, fast on the gun" see the movie, then lets talk!

oldowl60
Open Range had a lot of Shane in it. Shane (1953) set the standard for good westerns that came later. Before, most westerns were shootem ups.
