Which Texas QB led the Horns to four consecutive wins over Oklahoma?

Peter Gardere from 1989-1992. The only UT q-back to do that.

What two UT players were involved in the BIG PLAY to help Texas win the 1969 BIG SHOOTOUT against Arkansas. This play helped UT eventually win the national championship that year.

Who is the most winningest coach in college football (D-III and up)?

John Galigardi(sp?) head coach at St. Johns University. Going into the current season, he had 421 wins.

Back to my question...

What two teams played in the first intercollegiate football game, what was the score, and who won?

Time's up.............the second college football game was played one week later, November 13, 1869, and it was a rematch of Rutgers against Princeton.......

What year was the 10 ft high crossbar added to the goalposts in college football?

Herb Adderly - DB for Green Bay

Fred Arbanas - TE for Kansas City

They both went to Michigan State

What is the most points ever scored in a college football game. What was the score and who were the teams?

(Just for giggles, this same game holds a distinction for another reason -- Neither team registered a first down -- One team never gained enough yards for a first down, the other team scored on the first play every time they got the ball. The game was ended in the second half with 15 minutes left to play!!)

The following answer came after this question: What year was the 10 ft high crossbar added to the goalposts in college football.

What is the NCAA record for average yards per carry in a season
