shoelessjoelives
Today's USA Today has a nice article (pg.3C) titled "Next year may be now for Hall wannabes". Hall voter Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle says Blyleven wasn't dominant in his 22 seasons. He says he prefers 254-game winner Jack Morris. If you compare the stats of Blyleven and Hall of Fame pitcher Robin Roberts you will see a striking parallel in the Games pitched (676 to 692) and wins (286 to 287). Blyleven leads in the most quoted and used stats which are K's, ERA and Opp.Avg. He also leads Roberts in Shutouts (60 to 45). With Blyleven's resume compared to Hall of Famer Roberts, I think that there is no doubt that Blyleven should be voted in to the Hall of Fame.
