QuadsRight89Out
Johnny Damon: Jesus' looks, Mary's arm, Judas' loyalty. In all seriousness, I've loved his all-out effort and what he brought to the clubhouse, but I'm not that sad to see him go. Didn't make much fiscal sense to hold onto him for the change he was after. Adios and good luck, Captain Caveman. Maybe he can land an endorsement deal with Bic or Gillette, now that he'll be shaving at least twice a summer. Twentytwo
Leg implants. Come on guys. Had he resigned in Boston, Johnny Damon mania would have continued. You can rag his arm all day, but to say he cant run is insane.
sppunk
He has never had more than 22 stolen bases in his career, and gets thrown at a rate of 4:1. He has the fewest outfield assists in CF every year since 2001. He ranked 95th in baseball in on-base percentage as well.
Twentytwo
Who cares? There are plenty of guys who run well who never steal bases. No one said he was Rickey Henderson. No one is arguing he has a horrible arm. Who cares? He will score 125 for the Yankees.

That's easy.......Yankee loyalty. He has been in the organization since '86. Plus the Yankees can afford to keep his salary around as long as they want to. TJC_fan
Johnny ... just get on base .... AND SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He'll cover more of centerfield than Bernie Williams was covering lately ... more important to the Yankees than a "throw-em-out" arm.
chase.colston
I do have to ask ... why are the photos "disturbing?" It's not like he's had shaggy hair forever. :D
