Twentytwo
I think he will hit leadoff but Im seeing alot of people thinking otherwise. Ready to see some other ideas.
cubs37
He'll hit leadoff and they'll move Jeter back to hitting second.

Twentytwo
I always thought he'd hit leadoff. I sure hope he produces cause if not Im going to eat alot of crow.
Sox05
I think you'll be eating alot of crow, Damon has the worst throwing arm in baseball.
Twentytwo
And he is the best leadoff hitter in baseball. His arm was acceptable when he played for your team. But then again what do you expect when people who jumped on the RedSox bandwagon are the ones critquing him.
jthomp25
Its amazing how much these teams hate each other, but the red sox traded the best leadoff man in baseball to their arch enemy the yankees....why do they do that...it just doesnt make sense
CatsOLine63
It wasn't a trade. Damon was a Free Agent. It was his choice to go to the Bronx. The red sox could have offered him a little more money or that one more extra year, but they didn't and the Yankees did. Therefore, Johnny Damon will be in pinstripes next season. jthomp25
well even at that....with damon on the red sox you have to believe he developed some sort of resentment towards the yankees with them being rivals and all but i guess when your dealing with money of that kind that it doesnt matter
Twentytwo
The Yankees didnt offer an extra year. Just more money. Did anyone else see Damon rip the Red Sox?
TJC_fan
He'll be right up front ....
Wildcat_20
I dont care...as far as i am concerned he has joined the dark side of baseball, and now will forever hit in my hall of shame! :getlost:  :angry2:
shoelessjoelives
Being mad because one team stepped up and spent money while the others just cowarded at the sight of such a thing.................and all is lost to them, is still and never will be a legitimate excuse for losing all the time. chase.colston
It's amazing. I didn't see all these Red Sox fans doing this a year ago. Hypocracy is a terrible thing.

Twentytwo
Only problem with that is the Yankees would never let that happend. Damon played the same role for the Sox that Jeter does for the Yankee. The team leader, who plays his butt off. The Yankees would never let their leader walk, especially to Boston. DeuceChunker03
Boston didn't have a chance... Damon took the first offer from the Yanks.
Twentytwo
I think not. New York set a window, which I gurantee Boston knew about, and Boston didnt meet. Yes the Yankees overpaid, but what a lowblow to Boston it was.
