These are the annual salaries for the 25 highest-paid high school football coaches in Texas. Salary figures for 1995 have been adjusted 28 percent to account for inflation and show what the head coach was earning at that school. Head coaches in 2005 may not be the same as in 1995.

I wonder how many of these are AD/HC and how many just HC's of football?

I found it on stateman.com Interesting...they list every 5a and 4a salary. No 3a's or below for some reason.

I had no idea Marshall's pay was so close to Longview, Lee and JT. Good for us. Nice to see we are competitive.

Actually what SLC pays Dodge is not the highest..His is around the $95-$96 range......but his private QB camps bring in another good sum.......

I find it interesting that the two highest pay coaches are both 4A coaches. Also only 5 of them are from around the Houston Area I would have thought Katy or the Woodlands would have been in there.

There are lots of assistants out there working their buns off for 45,000 or less

Seems to me that coaches who beat Marshall in the state championship are worth the most. Ironic, huh.

Dickey Meeks in Henderson is making a minimum of $85,000.
