Heres a cute joke I heard from a playing partner years ago. I never forgot it!

 

There was this man who absolutely loved to play golf. Every chance he would get he was playing on his favorite local course. However, no matter how hard he tried, he could never drop his handicap below a 20. One cause of this was a particular par 3 surrounded by water that was on his favorite course. He had never hit the green and at least dropped 2 balls in the water each time he played the hole. It was so bad that he would use shag balls off the tee because he KNEW it was going in the water. He had made mention of it to his wife and seeing how frustrated he was with it she made mention that he pray about it. He did not pay much attention to her and went on his way to see if he could defeat this monster that had beaten him so many times before.

He played his usual game and when he approached the tee box of this impossible par 3, he remembered the advice his wife game him. So, with a little reluctance, he sent out a prayer that he be able to hit the green. He tee'd up his old shag ball and as he began to swing he heard a voice from the heavens.

 

"HIT THE NEW BALL!!" Came the voice from the heavens. A little scared, the man shrugged it off as his imagination and began to hit the old shag ball again.

 

Once more the voice rang out "HIT THE NEW BALL!!"

 

The man realized this must be God answering his prayer and tee'd up his new ball.

 

As he began to hit the ball the voice rang out again and said "TAKE A PRACTICE SWING!"

 

The man stood back, took a practice swing, and proceeded to hit his ball.

 

The voice came again....."TAKE ANOTHER PRACTICE SWING!"

 

The man stepped back, took another practice swing, and lined up his shot once more.

 

Just as he prepared to hit the ball again the voice came back and said.........."HIT THE OLD BALL!!!!"
