Lumberjack
The 'Dogs come to the Sawmill for a showdown with the Lumberjacks and it should be a good 'un. Both teams are 3-0 in district and the Jacks have won 7 in a row. This one could be for all the marbles! How do you see this game turning out? e_t_sports
Should be close. These two teams go way back and anything is possible. Crocket's defense has been awesome but we haven't seen a threat like Gilbert Moye yet. If Crockett's kicker can get his mojo back the Dogs could win it with his foot. Medman7
Toss up on this one...Don't think that it will be a wide point spread.....7-14 points will seperate the winner vs looser. Out of grins, I will go with Diboll by 7.
kldd210
The Crockett defense was overpowering against Carthage. I don't see Diboll winning this one unless Crockett makes a bunch of mistakes.
jacks_7_07
Carthage's offensive line was overpowering the Crockett D-line in the first quarter. If Carthage would run the ball downhill instead of running the option every play, they might have had a chance.

ljack
Carthage had 10 turnovers in the Crockett game. It is hard to win if you give the other team the ball every possession. Crockett vs. Diboll should be a good game this week. Both 3-0 and something to prove since everybody thought it would be Carthage and Rusk at the top. Both teams can score points. I don't think Crockett can hold Diboll scoreless unless they do what Carthage did. Should be a great crowd for a great game. Go JACKS! Take care of business. ballwatch
Diboll wasn't supposed to make playoffs from eariler predictions. They were put to finished 4th in district. so much for predictions.
e_t_sports
I know Gilbert Moye has had a big impact, but what other changes has Coach Martel made in Diboll this year?
ballwatch
I have no good inside information. Best person to ask is jacks_7_07, i believe he's actually a starter at linebacker. #7. I do know he's brought in a soccer program/coach.
ballwatch
Also here is a link to Diboll's stats this season. http://www.lufkindailynews.com/sports/stat...=213639&SortBy=
e_t_sports
Thanks for the link. From those stats it doesn't look like Moye has thrown the ball all that much. I have a feeling he will air it out more this week.
Medman7
He will have to to spread out the Crockett defense!!!!Otherwise, they will be circling him like buzzards over road kill....I imagine that the Crockett coach has already told his players that if they stop Moye then they will win the game , so you know they will be gunning for him. I was just pointing out the fact that they could have ran lead all day and moved the ball down the field. On film the Carthage line is blowing the Crockett D-Line back 4-5 yards off the ball on almost every play. Crockett does have an athletic D-End, #80 I believe, that Carthage had trouble blocking. CHSfootball07
and that nose tackle was good. I dont believe one man can take out this Crockett defense im saying crockett will win this one

thrilla04
I'm from Rusk and was at the Diboll vs. Rusk game. Diboll has a good offense, however, in my opinion, Moye was not the best player on their offense. To me the back-up QB seemed to be just as good, and all their running backs were good. So if Crockett thinks if they stop Moye then they win, they are wrong. Now if Crockett stops Sturns next week, they will beat Rusk. That said I still think Crockett takes this one by 2 TD's. D-TownJack
I think it'll be a heck of a game.
Medman7
Crockett will not just dominate Diboll. Diboll can deffinately scoreon the offensive side of the ball. Their main downfall is Defense. Just can't seem to stop oponents until they have at least 5-10 yards. Secondary is slow to cover. Not sure if they are just staying put because of the play or what....If they can put a stop to that, then they will deffinately improve...Maybe get up on all cylinders! e_t_sports
Crockett is definitely D2 -- smallest school in district. Carthage is largest school, and if they don't make it, then Diboll would go D1.
