DeuceChunker03
Tigers in five. More rest for their starters and bullpen, lineup stays hot, Cards can't produce the runs.
shoelessjoelives
Cardinals in 7. Dizzy pitches game 7. The World Series has a way of bringing the least expecting guy to the Stardom On Deck Circle. I guess a safe prediction would be that the team that wins will score 34 runs during the series. In 1934, the Cards scored 34 runs, winning the Series 4 games to 3. In 1968, the Tigers scored 34 runs winning the Series 4 games to 3. So now, this is the rubber match in the World Series rematch. What will happen that will always be remembered from this Series.....?

Every 34 years these two teams get together for a Fall Classic and the winner scored 34 runs!

shoelessjoelives
1968 was known as The Year of The Pitcher. They always say that and never mention the fact that the mound was higher than it is now. McLain won 24 in '69 but only 3 in 1970 and never was effective after the '69 season. His off the field problems were too much for him to bare. Ah, the good ol' days !! The '34 Series had 2 player-managers with Frankie Frisch and Mickey Cochrane.
