DLeihman32878
There's a lot of debate about whether or not people are giving Ja'Marcus Russell too much respect and Brady Quinn not enough respect. If you were a NFL GM, which QB would you draft? No doubt in my mind, I would take Russell.
Edgar13
Russell is a better all around player! Can run better than Quinn. Plus Russell can pass

qwerty
I would draft Russell, Because Quinn has never really proved hisself in big games, On the flip side Russell seems to shine in big games.
BGR
I would go for Russell, big and quick with an big arm to match.
findog28
Russell by far, everytime i think of Brady Quinn, it reminds me of Rick Mirer.

catscratchfever
Russel has more upside my only concern would be his weight.
Bobama
He weighs less than Daunte Culpepper. Russell is a beast. One of the strongest arms you'll see. I don't see how Quinn is any better than Chris Simms was coming out.
catscratchfever
AT the time of the combine Russell weighed more than Culpepper.

No he didn't, he just went threw the drills. Look it up. Jamarcus Russell didn't participate in any physical drills at the NFL Combine. He was also noticeably overweight. I would take Brady Quinn for one reason. He's more ready to go in 2007 than Jamarcus Russell is. Russell is leaps and bounds a bigger and stronger man than Brady Quinn, and has more upside. In about 3 years or so, Russell will be a Pro Bowler. The thing is, the Oakland Raiders need a quarterback n-o-w. Quinn gives them that, Russell does not. If the Raiders had a serviceable starter in place, I'd say go get Russell and don't look back. They don't, so go get Brady Quinn and thank me later. UG_Sooner
it makes me think about some guys named peyton manning and ryan leaf Leaf: a big downfield passer Manning: a proven quarterback who couldn't win the big game. the colts take manning with the first pick. Manning: Super Bowl Champion Leaf: a Golf coach in West Texas

Manning: Super Bowl Champion Leaf: a Golf coach in West Texas As you probably know, Leaf and Manning are good friends and have been for a long time. Leaf's exit from the NFL, while obvioulsy tied to his performance, was also attributed, at least in part to his inability to control his fiery temper. Saw a piece on him on Real Sports (HBO). He has the anger thing in control now, and says he really enjoys his job as assistant coach at West Texas A&M.
UG_Sooner
i know but i was just trying to prove a point that just because quinn couldn't win the big game in college and that russell is freakin huge doesn't over take the fact quinn is an overall better QB. I wouldn't either, this was a lackluster year for college QB's, even with Troy Smith in the mix. I wouldn't draft a quarterback, at least until the 2nd round. stevosev7
you also have to remember...moss, most likely, will not be with the raiders this upcoming season...although russell had good recievers...they weren't near as good as what quinn had...id take russell. however, i dont think either one of them will turn out to be studs. i could see them being real eli manning like (without the manning name of course)...real good but real inconsistant. ThaDeisel
i would take Quinn!! But Russell matches up perfect with the oakland raiders style of play!!! so i think he will go first in the draft!!
