DieHardCubFan
Well? Is he retiring or not? Smoaky has listed him on his "East Texas Coaching Carousel,"....so one has to wonder...

coachbronk
Congrats to Coach Goen. I wish you the best in your fishing adventures as well. Â Any early names for Cayuga?
champyun
Coach Goen is a good man and will be missed. I've had the pleasure of being coached by him (his first coaching job) and also coaching against him the past 4 seasons. The profession has lost a good one. Best of luck to him in his retirement. yourwrong
Good man I am from the NE TEx area and he won a lot of games over at hooks. Does anyone happen to know his record while just there. I am pretty sure he was the AD when Hooks restarted their tradition in the 90's. I thinks they made the playoffs just about every year he was there. cornbread67
Makes you wonder why he would retire with all of the talent coming back. Â Anyway congratulations Coach on an icredible career!
FIVETOOL
Cornbread you are like CSI-Bois'darc...LOL. Being familiar with Cayuga I think you can understand some of the things that would lead a fine man like Coach to retire. I tell you this...Coach Goen is a great fella and would do anything for his staff and kids. I think in his heart he is at peace with his decision. cornbread67
That would be a great show. Probably more crime in Balckfoot than Bois D' Arc. As a taxpayer I was just curious. You guys have done an outstanding job at Cayuga; yall should be proud of the year you had. Congrats on the baseball as well.
