Dfensiveguru
I just wanted to give the 800 m runner from West Rusk a congratulations on an outstanding season. He finished first in his heat at regionals and did not make the finals. He is only a freshman and it was a shame to see that he did not make it because he defeated the others in the second heat by about 100 meters. He missed the finals by .00.27 of a second. Good luck next year. West Rusk has something to finally be proud about.

sackem
The @**^# award goes to the guys in the red hats who acted like they didn't know what to do or didn't want to the girl who fell out on the track. the girl might not have not fallen out had she not have warmed up to run her event then have it delayed by a late arrival. Her coach should have know how to get a hold of the no show and have her there or DQ.. the late arrival did she get 10th or so?

hatman
The girls 1600 was scheduled for 5:15 not 4:05. When your told that they will stay on a time schedule no matter what then you make your arrangements. The girls arrived at 4:00 expecting to run at 5:15. Now who's fault is that. Her coach did know how to get a hold of her but when your 1 1/2 hours away it really does not matter. sackem
Godawgs I did not think it was typical that Garrison had 2 points in the Boys division. It was not typical that the stick was not picked up. As I pointed out the last time Tatum dropped the stick they won the race. This time it could have rolled out of exchange zone.
BleedinBlue
I agree with you hatman. The meet officials should have stayed on schedule like they said they would in the meeting. We wait forever for the mile to start and then in between the quarter and the 200m dash we wait no more than 20 minutes, not giving athletes the time to fully recover. It's not fair to the athletes that are competing.
