Aggie2008
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft07/news/story?id=2853116 Pretty much for a fourth-round pick. WOW.
clawsnstripes
new england is really making a push so far. moss for basically a 4th rounder on a team that was close last year is big for them. if moss can't be tamed in ne, then he needs to give up the game. Guest CNOrtega
Discipline wise, Moss was actually a model citizen in Oakland, especially compared to what he was in Minnesota. The reason his number declined was because of the nobodies throwing him the ball. I know I rag on Tony Romo a lot, but even he's leaps and bounds better than anything the Raiders have trotted out since Rich Gannon was let go. BGR
The NFL teams had better watch out for the Patriots next year... Brady has plenty of targets now. Already the best team in the league on paper for 07-08 season.
EastTexaninHawaii
Wow thats really scary. Tom Brady finally has a top notch reciever. If Moss can't be happy in New England surrounded by that much quality he is a lost cause. If he is even half of what he used to be New England will be a juggernaut offensively. CoachBird2
What baffles me is that the Patriots have always valued that "character" guy. The last two days seems to show them moving in a new direction.
tmfdesk
Patriots must be getting old as a team. Belachek is bringing in a couple of players with dubious pasts. One thing about the Patriots is that they have some policemen in their locker room that will try to control the behavior of Moss and the others. But Randy can get stubborn if he wants to. I wonder who throws the first locker room punch?
cubs37
Most surpring was that Green Bay wanted him, but wouldn't give up a 4th round pick. Favre had already been telling people he was excited about throwing to Moss. Oh well, I guess they don't mind not helping him out by getting receivers. gwsoftball
Way I heard it was that it wasn't the 4th rounder that gave Green Bay pause, it was that he wouldn't restructure his deal. He had no problem doing that with NE.
Bballer073001
Moss is done. He will cry when he gets to N E and do the same thing he has always done not run his routes unless he feels like it.
Sportsfan44
I think Moss will work out well for NE. If he doesn't the only lost a 4th round draft pick. GB had a horrible draft and also lost a potential potent threat at wide out in Moss. Organization is not making very good moves right now. Farve is too old to get it done by himself. gwsoftball
Hard to tell with Moss, given that he seemed to go through the motions in Oakland. However, he hasn't caught at least 60% of the passes intended for him in three years, and that's an alarming trait for a wideout over 30. In his prime he relied on speed and jumping ability. In their older years, wideouts often need to rely on guile and excellent route running. Moss doesn't have these, and his physical gifts are in decline, even if his work ethic improves. Still, he won't be asked to carry the load, and he'll have Welker/Stallworth to share passes with.

I admit that the typical receiver does need those qualities to keep making it in the NFL but I do not agree that his physical features are in a decline when he was timed recently in the 4.29 - 4.30 range in the 40. Those are some impressive numbers for any age.
gwsoftball
When was he timed doing that?
