Carlisle wins 5 to 4 over Grapeland today in Jacksonville.

Carlisle's J.Clark walked it led off the bottom of the eighth. A. Moody lays down a bunt to move Clark to second. Runner on second with 1 out. D. Cassell then strikes out. Carlisle now has 2 outs. C. Stewart single down right field line. Carlisle now has runners on first and third with two outs. J. Jackson singles over second base to score Clark with the winning run.

Next up for Carlisle is Lovelady in Lufkin. Coaches are still discussing a one or three game series.

I believe Grapeland was missing some players (maybe 3) the first two times they played Lovelady and Lovelady barely won.

But it should be a great series..

Notice since Cushing lost, it's been kind of quite on here...now that Carthage is out, it may have to shut it down completely as there may not be any noise.

You make it sound like all of these players were out at one time and that was not the case. Murray pitched the last game of district when Taylor was ineligible. Make the grades and maybe you could have taken a different path. Bottom line is LL v. Carlisle state quarter finals.
