Cheaptrick77,

Ike Futch played second and only struck out 3-4 times entire season

Joe "Speedo" Patterson was a longtime Oiler outfielder and big fan favorite known obviously for his speed, never made it to bigs

I'm sure you remember Walt "No Neck" Williams, played with Cardinals and White Sox

Also in late 60s

One season Tulsa had Williams, Ted Savage and Bobby Tolan in outfield

Ed Spiezio and Jim Beachum on infield

Pat Corrales at catcher

Steve Carlton, Nelson Briles and Lou Victory on the mound

Warren Spahn was the manager.

'you think that team "should have won it" more than the 1999-00 team?

I think the 1999-00 team was even better than the Cup-winning team the year before! :)

They're professional to me. ;) :sorcerer:

The 03 team had it there for the taking. Detroit had been knocked out in the first round..and the only team in the East that I think would've been able to take them in the Finals was New Jersey....but I still think they would've taken them. The 00 team obviously was a great team and obviously had better leadership but I don't think they were anywhere nearly as skilled offensively as that 2003 team was.

I will never forgive Belfour for taking cough medicine before game 1, however in 2000. *sighs* what a choke by both teams honestly.
