DLeihman32878
My fiancee bought me my first iPod for my birthday last year. Prior to that, I never understood what was so fascianting about digital music. I mean, I was always content with downloading tunes and burning CDs. She bought me a Nano, and while it lacked some of the "bells and whistles" of other models, it did introduce me to the wonderful world of digital music. To me, the most interesting features were the tracking features iPod and iTunes allow. Not only can you store and sort your musical libraries in a number of ways, but you can also track the music that you listen to and the songs you skip. This year for my birthday, my fiancee got me an 80 gig video iPod. I was able to transfer all my old CD's to my iPod and every song that I ever downloaded, even the ones from KaaZa and Napster days. I now have close to 10,000 songs on my iPod and it can be a little draining going through all those songs. That's where the "highest rated" and "Top 25 Most Played" feature come in handy. It got me to wondering, what songs are on your iPod or iTunes Top 25 Most Played? Do other MP3 players, such as Microsofts version, have a similar feature? Here is my current list: 1.) "Casimir Pulaski Day" - Sufjan Stevens 157 plays 2.) "Middleman" - Bright Eyes 148 plays 3.) "How To Disappear Completly" - Radiohead 145 plays 4.) "Lucky" - Radiohead 145 plays 5.) "For the Widos in Paradise" - Sufjan Stevens 144 plays 6.) "Granny" - Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds 141 plays 7.) "Wichita Lineman" - Glen Campbell 137 plays 8.) "Woodstock" - CSN&Y 136 plays 9.) "Numb" - The Cure 136 plays 10.)"Society" - Eddie Vedder 134 plays 11.) "Quality or Quantity" - Bad Religion 133 plays 12.) "Muhammad My Friend" - Tori Amos 132 plays 13.) "Alice Childress" - Ben Folds Five 130 plays 14.) "Jack Straw" - Grateful Dead 130 plays 15.) "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before" - The Smiths 130 plays 16.) "Africa" - Toto 130 plays 17.) "I Know You Rider" - Grateful Dead 129 plays 18.) "Jack The Ripper" - Morrissey 129 plays 19.) "Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect" - The Decemberists 127 plays 20.) "The Past and Pending " - The Shins 127 plays 21.) "Anyone Else But You" - The Moldy Peaches 126 plays 22.) "Cemetry Gates" - The Smiths 125 plays 23.) "I'm Sticking With You" - The Velvet Undergound 125 plays 24.) " Flamenco Sketches" - Miles Davis 124 plays 25.) "Emminence Front" - The Who 123 plays

DaveTV1
Secretly Dave has many Helen Reddy songs in his top played. I don't have a single Helen Reddy song. I couldn't quote a single lyric by her. I think she wrote Danny's Song. She said something about God being a woman at a Grammy Awards. Oh, she's Canadian. Other than that... But, as a moderator should you be changing the subject ?

scrott752
That is a great list DLeigh. That could very well be my list, if I had an ipod. I need to break down and get one. Im living in the stone ages. Jack Straw is one of the greates songs ever to be performed. I do have a small MP3 device that I bought to jog with. It is mostly Metallica and Pantera. There is no better band to jog to than Pantera. Oh man, if you cant get juiced listening to the first 25 seconds of "Walk" then something is wrong with you. Unfortunately those songs would not be in the top 25 cuz I dont run near enough. As I said a lot of your stuff would be on my list. Here are a couple artists that did not make yours, but would likely be on mine. Man Im gonna go buy one today just so I can have a list! Gomez Bela Fleck Waylond,Willie,Merle,Chris Mr. Cash 38 Special The Gourds Alice In Chains (Rooster specifically) Beasty Boys (may be in the top 5) Joss Stone ( I cant help it, I dig funk/soul and shes HOT!) G.Clinton and the P Funk All Stars (best concert I ever attended) Widespread Panic (top 5 candidate) I love coconuts. Jerry Jeff Pat Green Any of the Texas country artists may find therselves on the list (to many to list) Prince (just joking) although 20 years ago..... George Strait STP Nirvana OK now im going to wal mart to see if I can buy one. Thanks for feeding my demons.. Im going to go spend some money I dont need to. :happy65:
