bordertown
Thats horible that district play has already begun. No time to get your legs under you and a coach to evaluate talent in a game situation.
Eagle0508
I'm right there with you bordertown... Alot of teams are still trying to get settled at this point in the season. If this were last year we would just be starting our 2nd tournament at this time.
QueenHornet
I think everyone agrees on that. It makes you really have to rush after the break to try and finalize positions and strategy. It really doesn't give you much time to find out about all the other teams in your district.

mafia3
Wait! so did UIL change the points for district games? I remember them being like: 3pts = win in regulation 2pts = win in a shootout 1pt = loss in a shootout 0pts = loss in regulation Correct me if i'm wrong but now it: 2pts = win in regulation 1pt = no matter the outcome of the shootout. Or are they just ending the games in draws? 0pts = loss in regulation help me out guys
Sandman
No overtime or shootouts in our district. (We have some big travel times in our district.) Win= 2 pts. Tie= 1 pt. Loss= 0 pts.

The funny thing is he's not the fastest kid on the team. He's not 4.4 fast, but still fast. He's only about 5'7 but he has skills for days although he rarely needs to use them because he can run right past you. He plays for Solar in Dallas. He is a freshman and if this kid doesn't get newcomer of the year then someone is plain stupid. I believe he has 10 goals for the season and is tied with their other striker Brent Colvin who is a senior. The moral to the story is that he's fast, he's got skills, he's a hustler, and he's very respectful. The type of kid every school anywhere would want.
