Enter your (4) four person team. First come, first served. No exceptions. Minimum total team handicap is 35. Tournament Committee reserves the right to verify handicaps, restructure teams fairly, and resolve all disputes. Maximum individual handicap allowed will be 18 per player. Format is two foursomes per hole and teams will switch scorecards. Mulligans will be played by receipt only and will be verified on scorecard. Meal will follow tournament about 1:00 PM. No Refunds. William Foster Lodge in Frankston, Texas is sponsoring an East Texas High School Golf Challenge at Echo Creek Golf Club near Brownsboro. This tournament will be a fundraiser for the Lodge’s scholarship fund and will benefit local kids. The tournament takes place on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 PM and will include a meal, cart, 18 holes of golf and a team trophy for the winning team’s school trophy case. The1st and 2nd place winners will also have bragging rights for a year and individual plagues.

 

The format is a four player scramble consisting of boys, girls or mixed team, but each player must have played golf for that school this year. A school may enter more than one team, but a team must consist of four players. Two foursomes will play off from the same tee box and will swap scorecards. The tournament is open to any high school students whether public or private that play on an organized golf team representing their schools.

 

Entry fee for a team is $200 and individual or corporate sponsors are being sought to sponsor their local team. Each team will be introduced to the crowd along with their sponsor if sponsored. Sponsor will also receive plaque if his/her team wins. William Foster Lodge in Frankston, Texas has a rich heritage of supporting local public schools and many other worthwhile local projects. Each year deserving students at both Frankston ISD and La Poynor ISD are awarded scholarships that total at least $2000 and these scholarships help make their dream of a higher education possible. Our annual golf tournament is one of our longest running and most successful fund raising events of the year and the generous and civic-minded sponsors like you who donate to our events make many of our charitable goals possible. Texas Mason’s are proud to donate their time and resources to projects such as these and you can be certain we gratefully appreciate your help.

 

For your $150 contribution, you will be recognized as an Event Sponsor at the golf tournament and a sign will be placed at a specific golf hole acknowledging your sponsorship. Team sponsors will be acknowledged at the tournament on the PA system during lunch and when the teams are introduced, and again at the awards ceremony if they are winners. We also recognize that not everyone can be a sponsor but we are happy and grateful to accept any amount of support you can give, as every dollar is important. We also acknowledge the giver of a door prize at the time it’s drawn for the winner. You can bring them to the tournament or call for a pickup if you will not attend.

 

This year the golf tournament will take place at Echo Creek Golf Course near Brownsboro, Texas on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 1:30 PM. It is a four-player scramble and we encourage you to get an entry form and take part in the tournament as we have a lot of fun.
