Van has all 9 returners with very talented young ladies in the dug out and a good group of incoming freshman. Not to mention a new coach. Looking for an exciting year out of them.

Who is Van's new coach?

Okay. I have deleted some comments that make accusations and question the integrity of the people named in the posts. I have tried to delete also any posts that contained quotes from those posts.

If this continues, this thread will be moved, and members making those accusations will be considered for suspension.

Harmony nearly beat a 6A team from Arkansas last year I believe, so yes they could probably hang with Garland

Harmony returns both of their hoss pitchers, and a bunch of others starters. They will be the team to beat in softball this year.

The 2009 season, this district consists of:

Harmony

White Oak

Union Grove

Harelton

Winona

Elysian Field

Sabine

New Diana

Of these teams, three will move on to the playoffs.

I feel it will be very close between five teams:

Harmony

White Oak

Winona

Elysian Fields

Harelton

WO and EF are moving from 3a to 2a so I feel a slight advantage there. I think it will be a shoot out though...

Did she get hurt?

I hate to hear about illness and/or injuries that keep kids from their dreams.

Remember - there is life after softball.

Tore her ACL. Going to have surgery or already has. Don't Know about this season? But will still play college ball.

Sabine actually moved down with WO but I figured you just misspoke. Sabine has lost a lot of great kids the last few years but I wouldn't count them out for the season. They have some good sticks and defense coming back with lots of playoff experience. Pitching maybe the issue but I bet coach has had someone working that all off season. No way Sabine finished below 4th and expect even higher.
