coltsboy
Dem songs that those boys from the UK sang and wrote I think they was called The Beatels or dunebugs somthin like that. Those songs make me think about Hell. Cuase they thought they was bigger then God. Jerry Jeff Walker "Pissin in the Wind" makes me think also. Cuase that has been a lot of my life. But it all goes back to "Amazing Grace" cuase He has saved a wretch like me. And if anyone deserves to sit next to Lennin for eternity trying to Imagine no religion it is I. Don't hate on the beatles. They were a good group yes a little messed up. You need to understand some things about John Lennon, for instance his mother abandoned him at a very young age as did his father. At about 20 John had reconnected with his mother and a short while later she was hit by a car and was killed. He had trouble with religion because he saw the world for what it was and still is an evil place full of horrors. His remarks about Jesus were not to spite Christianity rather to speak facts like Dave stated. And to speak a little more about his background he was an outcast at a CHRISTIAN school. People (including teachers) treated him very poorly. He saw music as an outlet to his anger and a good bit of his songs were about peace and love!
