Guest bleeds
Wasn't at the game but heard from someone who was that NL's tackling was lacking. Said they also gave up way too many yards on kick-off/punt returns. Was told NL was ahead with 3+ minutes left in the game, but couldn't close the deal. This loss puts a cloud over NL. Once thought to be the team to beat in their new district, now there has to be some head scratching as they near the start of district play. Hopefully they can get this turned around against Jefferson, then start district on a fresh note.

Chaz
Sounds like PG is the real deal this year... It was a very close game until the last three minutes. NL had three turnovers in that 3 min. 2 resulted in td's.

BluePirate
They will be just fine. They really need to shore up the special teams play. Or just onside kick the kick-off every time...

BluePirate
It is our Achilles heal, no doubt. Like the players, I thought the NL coaching staff had a better game than last week. NL had a nice 2nd quarter and hopefully they can build on it this week in practice.

futfan
Congrats to the HAWKS on hanging in there, and making good adjustments. Sounds like A.J. George is a force to be reckoned with! The strength of team play is now our asset. Good game!

The strength of team play is now our asset. Good game! Your right AJ is all heart. He is a great running back and you won't find a more well mannered young man anywhere. The Panthers played you guys a great game, shot their selves in the foot but still have nothing to be ashamed about. The Hawks have a very good team. Congrats on the win and best of luck down the road. Who knows maybe there will be a rematch.
