Who is the new top 10?? 'bama was idle this week. The 'horns may ascend to the top, at least for this week.
BluePirate
I don't think Texas should move ahead of Alabama... yet.
Immortal13
I don't think Texas should move ahead of Alabama... yet. Why not? Alabama shouldn't move up by being idle. Texas has beat a higher ranked opponent than has Alabama. Texas will be the new number one come monday.
BluePirate
IMO, moving a 5 over a 2 that didn't lose is saying the 2 wasn't ranked correctly.
Guest bleeds
I think with Texas beating the No. 1 team, and the No. 3 and No. 4 teams being beaten, there's no place for Texas but No. 1. Here's a scenario. Let's say 'bama played today. With the other top 5 teams already playing, they would have most likely played a team ranked lower than 5th. OU lost, Missouri lost, LSU lost, Texas won (beating the No. 1 team). Even if 'bama had played, and played a sub-No. 5 team, Texas would still have probably gone to No. 1, with the losses of the top 5 teams today. Pretty flimsy logic, I'll admit, but it's something to think about. I'm betting Texas is No. 1 come Monday.
BluePirate
I figure Texas enabled the media to once again embrace their man-crush for the SEC. :whome:

They beat an unranked Wisconsin like a chained yard dog. Can't see them moving up as a result.
