CrankThatCrabtree
I heard Mike Goodson's dad committed mortgage fraud, so I actually do think his family needs the money.
BeatNavy
Round 6 in my view....will not hurt the Aggies...the young guys did as well as Goodson this year.

I think he'll go no later than the 3rd after his combine showout, he's a great athlete...
football4life
Goodson is a great back, but if we could possibly afford to lose a player at any position it's the rb position. Can't say I blame him for leaving either. The last 4 A&M running backs busted in their senior season.
Middle
It's good he won't go early as some of you are predicted; maybe he could get picked up by a winning team and get a taste of that. :)
Immortal13
With a fast combine time, I think he'll go by the third round. His small size could drop him down a little. Too bad he ended up at A&M where his talent was squandered. Colt Mccoy outrushed Goodson by about 100 yds this season.
baseballpitcher24
no no and no we do not need to lose a good back like goodson we really need him to return to have any chance of making it back to a decent bowl next season and our o-line and defense need to step up this off-season
scrott752
No reason to stay. As to the comment about size, there seems to be a trend down due to the current "2-back" system. You can take these small fast guys because you plan on having a "thunder" to lighten the load. In fact, some of these small guys are being featured with relative success. I think someone will take a stab at him pretty early. I also think this guy was hurt with his college choice. If I remember he was recruited by quite a few "big dawgs". Yes, he was recruited by severa big dawgs, including USC and UT. He must have made a bad impression during his recruiting trips. He got sent home early by OSU. l

A&M decide to take that chance.
Aggie2008
He was tired of being hit in the backfield every play because our line couldn't block for him. Not to mention that Sherman cracked down on attitude and grades this year...which is why certain players did not play as much, including Goodson. Someone reported on another forum that Goodson pretty much stopped going to class for a while. That's the reason he didn't get more carries this season. It wasn't that Cyrus Gray was necessarily better, he just went to class and worked hard in practice. Goodson and Lane walked around thinking they were hot stuff and wouldn't follow coaching advice. They were allowed to act that way under Fran, but Sherman wasn't going to put up with it.
