TJC_fan Posted January 28, 2009 Share Posted January 28, 2009 Henderson at Whitehouse..... Early games were moved up a little for the Henderson fans to get back to Henderson a little early. The boys varsity was over before 9 pm. Well, it was over before halftime, but that's another story. Whitehouse won handily. That opening season loss to Hallsville by 1 ( AT W/HSE) and the "finals" loss at Burkburnett (after Marquis was injured early in the game) seems like a distant memory. The playoffs will still be a potential stumbling block, but three things have given the Wildcats positive vibes (IMHO): (1) the team seems to have accepted the direction that new coach, RyanTomlin, wants to take them. (2) Holman and Marquis are seniors this year, which has brought a lot of influence, leadership, and impact to this team. (3) Sophmore Metoyer (?) has made a big impact on the talent level of this team.... he's a very good basketball player. And he does pretty well at football, also!!!
