RETIREDFAN1
Someone had to start it, so here it is....let's hear from you all on who has the best chance. Congratulations to all of our East Texas baseball representatives in Austin.....
Rabfan
you know....that's an impressive line-up of east texas schools. the region is represented with pride!
RETIREDFAN1
It's a shame that all six can't win it.....It would be wonderful if 5 of them bring home the gold. I had to go with Pleasant Grove since they have a Colmesneil connection.......
delap
I voted Carthage. But I do think Texas High will definitely have a shot too.
RETIREDFAN1
It just hit me after reading another post that Texarkana has TWO representatives out there. I bet that is one empty town next week.....
backnine
Would be awesome to see a Carthage vs Pleasant Grove (Championship Game) Don't know who I would pull for in this situation? Probably PG
chase.colston
I can't remember the last time East Texas had that many representatives at the state baseball tournament. That's incredible. I wish I could be there to just watch. Last time I was in Austin for the state baseball tournament I saw Kyle Drabek play (The Woodlands). He was fascinating. Mr. P
Yep... any and all of these teams will do East Texas proud, they've accomplished so much by just getting there.
HvilleCat23
I picked Texas High, deeper pitching than the Texas Rangers... lol but deep for HS baseball for sure! Light them bats up come game day TH
Rabfan
the thing is that everybody has to pitch their Ace in the semi's to make sure they get to the finials...then it's who has the best #2 that can seal the deal.

Light them bats up come game day TH  I picked Carthage on tradition but would like to see T-hi and PG win the thing. T-hi will have to beat the #1 team in the nation, CC Moody to win it all!!!!!!!!!! Dont know how they pick this but this was on a web site that I was checking on. RETIREDFAN1
Looking at the brackets I see that Carthage and Pleasant Grove won't meet until the finals...I hope both of them make it...
68Hornet
If memory serves me, the last time Texas High made it to Austin they beat No. 1 draft pick Jimmy Jones in the regional finals in 16 innings. Jones pitched all 16 innings, throwing 260 pitches and striking out 28, but he lost. Two days later he pitched in relief and Texas High won on a home run by Dr. Greg Richter (he wasn't a doctor then obviously). A lot of folks figured Texas High would win state, but they lost in the semifinals to a Houston junior named Greg Swindelll. That Texas High team had some truly great players, but not a Josh Turley or Slade Heathcott. That's just my opinion.
