uniballer
It's quite a ripoff that Aaron Hill is the 2B starter and Ian Kinsler is sitting at home....
Eagleborn
^^^^ Funny thing is the baseball tonight guys said Hill will be MVP... He is good. But being up there in another world not many people see him.

bigdawg16
As much as i love baseball the all star game in my opinion is boring..and to have it determine who get's homefield in the WS is just idiotic ..much like the commish who made it that way
shoelessjoelives
Gives you something to play for as an incentive. All-Time is now 40-38-2 in favor of the Senior Circuit.
cheaptrick77
FYI: Last night was the first MLB All-Star Game since 1999 without a home run... FYI2: Carl Crawford is the first position player to win the All-Star Game MVP Award without an RBI since Willie Mays in 1968... the all star game in my opinion is boring I LOVE the MLB All-Star Game, 'always have -- IN SPITE of the silly "this time it counts" WS home field rule. Name a sport that has a better All-Star Game... Name another sport that has among its greatest moments, All-Star Game occurrences...
bigdawg16
None of the professional all star games are good..they all ####. If these games are so special why do you see some players trying to think of every excuse in the book to get out of them. I played baseball since i was 4 till a few years after high school..i love the game...but there is nothing exciting ( to me ) about seeing your fav player or a player from your fav team play an inning and then disappear. cheaptrick77
^ I can't explain the neurosis of athletes. That should not overshadow the players who are honored to play. That's the nature of an All-Star Game ... to celebrate and honor each team ... you relish the moment your favorite team is represented on the field, then you go on with your life! We will simply have to shake hands and disagree on this one ;)
RETIREDFAN1
I think the players that ditch the games just want a little time off to be with their loved ones......I know I would......
Guest Huck
Out of all the All Star games baseball is the best but that's not saying much. I wish they would give "Home Field" to the team with the best record than to do it the way they are now. NBA, NHL and the Pro Bowl are terrible.
