Has any one been to Dakota's on Broadway? What is your opinion of it? I had always wanted to go and try it. My husband took me last Friday night to celebrate an accomplishment in my life. I was not too impressed and it is defintely over priced? Does any one concur?

Finally ate at Sodalak's in College Station. The one off of Hwy 21 is great, but they opened up a new one just off of University Dr. that's become just as good.

They serve one of the best chicken fried steaks you'll ever eat!! :)

And their desserts ain't too bad neither.....

I've become a regular--so much in fact that they all know my name as well as my order! :w00t:

I'll give an update on mine. I'll even divide it up between local and chains in Tyler. All in no particular order -- except for Stanley's. That will always be No. 1.

Locally owned:

1. Stanley's Famous BBQ

2. Villa Montez

3. Peking

4. Wasabi

5. Shogun of Japan

6. Basil Thai

7. Bruno's

8. Taqueria El Lugar

9. The taqueria inside Super Mercado Monterrey

10. Rick's on the Square

Chain:

1. Chuy's

2. Panera Bread

3. Newk's

4. BJ's Brewhouse

5. Oliveto

6. Texas Roadhouse

When Chuy's, Panera and BJ's open, I'll be in heaven.

You should try Yamato, Chase. Should be right up your alley.

btw, I refuse to eat at R.o.t.s.

They just opened a Chuy's here in College Station so I thought I'd go try it for lunch last weekend. There was a nice hour and a half wait so I didn't get to try it lol

Heard that it's been PACKED since it opened. But according to a few people I've talked to, the food is terrible. I'll have to try for myself to be sure.

It's on my list. I've heard lots of good things about it. Hopefully I'll make it by soon.

I rarely eat at Rick's, except for lunch. The sauteed squash there is good enough by itself to make this list. It's amazing.

Man, I just knew you were going to mention the pecan smoked wings on Wilma.

The place that I'll wait an hour and a half to eat at hasn't been created yet.

You've never been to Lambert's - Home of the throwed rolls - then. Their liver and onions is second to none. Come to think of it...Everything they have there is untouchable.

yes it has, if you get home at 5pm and supper is served after 6:30pm........don't know about you but it's always worth the wait here.

I've heard of Lambert's.

But if you have to wait for an hour and a half, it's an experience I'll most likely forego.
