Rabfan
my son and i get on youtube a lot of evenings and watch different videos and one of his favorites are the old School House Rocks that used to air on ABC on saturday mornings. like a lot of my generation we learned Grammar, the finer points of math and U.S. History. i've watched them with him several times and i've realized they can't ever be aired again. they're not politically correct enough for todays PC crowd. it's a shame though..they're goodies. here's a sample of what i grew up with for those who've never seen them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxmKRyLdBho

Hookemhorns88
My wife has used the "math" one in her classroom at school. This topic has also brought back the memories of watching films in the classroom on the reel to reel projector about the "sun". It had some animation and I believe that it was hosted by Eddie Albert. This would have been when I was in elementary school back in the early 70's.

HouTex
Watched that, Doug, and Recess every Saturday morning. Till I was 10 or so, that was TV for me, other than a bit of news. 2 Channels, I believe. Until 19 came around. But of course, I can't leave out Winnie the Pooh. I learned a great deal from that show.
