I'm not too fond of heat on anything hurting... the reason why is it "expands" everything.

Ice, and a lot of it.

Now, if you're NOT a "little girl", go to your local feed store, and get the roll-on DMSO... I'll caution again, it will leave a taste in your mouth, try not to get it on your hands, and you can only do that about oh, once every 3 days or so... if you do it more than that, you'll blister the snot out of it... whatever you do - DO NOT WRAP IT!

But man, does it feel better!!!!!! It IS the ONLY thing that goes through your skin straight to blood vessels, muscles, etc. IMMEDIATELY! And you will taste it.

There is also something else you can use... It's called mud... LOL! Now, what you do is look on line for horse products that's called mud... the way this thing works is it draws heat and soreness out...

Now, here's how you apply it - and don't laugh - I've darned near covered my sons in this stuff! You lather the mud on wherever, you then get some plastic wrap and wrap it around that, and then you put some tape around it - just snug enough for it to stay on...

Now, you'll be surprised ... the swelling and the inflammation will go down, and leave it on overnight, if you can.

You can swap out the mud vice versa with the DMSO.

And surely wouldn't hurt to take some Aleve with it.....

To stop it in the future... need to get you some of those gel pads for your shoes, make sure that you wear GOOD SOFT THICK SOCKS to help cushion.

I used to get those things while running hurdles all the time, and Mom would pour horse linament on 'em...

This can help relieve the pain

Make an Ice popsicle and rub it on your shins before and after activities

You wanna get the best cardio in the world pull out a heavy bag and wail on it for 2 - 3 minute increments, and do 5 to 10 rounds...it works everything and you will be exhausted

That sounds like a fun alternative to running hills or jumping rope.

Good thinking. You can personally tenderize your meat for lunch or supper.

What meat processing plant? The old Locker Plant has been closed since the early '70s. icon_eek.gif

I don't know... I haven't been here as long as you have... LOL!

Oh, duh... here's the name of the road - forgot I had it on my rolodex... jeesh...

It's on Mansion Lane... if y'all need the phone # let me know and I'll get it for ya.

Oh, and as I was running to town the other day, somebody was putting a sign up on 1795/49 .. something about a catfish place in Kelsey... now Kelsey's right there, but I thought it said 154 and 1002... wouldn't that at the "4 corners store"?

I think so. The rumor was the old Sosebee garage across from the store was going to become a doughnut shop/ cafe. That might be it???

Mary's before it became Tele's had great fish. Even further back there was a place towards Perryville/Ogburn that had great catfish.

I have no idea what you're talking about... I didn't know there was something before Tele's, though...

By store - you mean across from the 4 Corners store?

I swear, you talk like the rest of the folk here... no, I don't know where all that stuff is, and no, I don't know so and so... LOL!

So.....it looks like I'll be going with youngest to keep him motivated up to the track field.... I'm telling ya, you just need to go work out with him - y'all can do whatever...I think youngest has lost about 20 plus pounds... and jeesh almighty his arms are getting huge!
