Is 24/7 a new concept in Tyler? I'm just asking.

"Planning" is the grand panacea of our age. But unfortunately its meaning is highly ambiguous. In popular discussion it stands for almost any policy which it is wished to present as desirable...When the average citizen, be he Nazi or Communist or Summer School Liberal, warms to the statement that "What the world needs is planning," what he really feels is that the world needs that which is satisfactory.

I've noticed that the 24/7 eateries are culling back their hours. In addition to your list Denny's and Waffle House is open 24/7, and a few truck stops. I remember the Waffle Shoppe in Longview is open 24/7, and thought I'd see if that place is still open.

This is what I found online : http://www.mrbreakfa...asp?restid=5379 If you don't want to check out the link here's a funny review : Just moved into Longview and after work wanted a bite to eat, somewhere i could sit down and dine. Well it was thursday night at 2:30 am and the place was packed with fresh out of the bar Drunks! There was one waitress! Now these drunks, 30 of them, were LOUD, VULGUR, in and out of the place smoking and fighting! Yes the worst of the group were the women. Let's just say the KOA Campground and trailer parks were empty and at the waffle shop! The poor waitress, the manager did nothing to try and put a stop to their discusting behaviors, because she was scared! The food was ok but the late night Jerry Springer Free dinner show was something I wont go back to experience again!

I realize that some people work the graveyard shift, but this is why many restaurants don't stay open past 11.

Tyler will always be dead to me until it has a Waffle House.

That's all.

You can have one of Longview's...we'll even throw in the Waffle Shoppe.

Me and my son ate at the Waffle Shoppe about 3 or 4 months ago. Not a good idea.
You pretty much have to be drunk for the food to taste decent there, and even then its risky.

We don't have any 24-hour restaurants here.

No need for them.

Everyone's in bed by about 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. - unless it's during football season!
