NB AD is what I've heard

No way Jamie Thomas is going to LE. He's a local NB guy.

No one thought that Anakin would turn into Darth Vader at the time either. The Dark Side is powerful my friend. Lol.

Well he is from the little town of 5000...and let's get serious (as someone that coached)...your goal is to be a success, period. When you are making plenty $$...and the person we're talking about is...and you are treated well...and he is...at some point you realize you have it pretty good. You realize there isn't a gold rung anywhere you'd rather be. I think Todd Dodge's fiasco moving from SLC to "the big boys" opened appropriate eyes as to what may or may not be important. Not only did that blow up him, but his son, etc. What a nightmare.

An old story...a friend of mine was on the School Board when Jeff was hired...I asked him why Jeff...said that in the interview process, he asked Jeff what his long range plans were...Jeff said to watch his grandkids play football on a field that was named after him...both are very possible.

Agreed. But this may happen without having to have a lifetime coaching career there.

I always think about Baptist ministers receiving "the call" to move to another church. Miraculously, the Lord always seems to call them to LARGER churches, doesn't He?

Coach Traylor's a good coach will most likely be successful wherever he is.

Jeff Traylor - The list ends there.

Where was Traylor coaching before Gilmer? It's hard to believe a coach with little experience would come in and say he plans to be such a good coach they would name a field after him. He must have been a surefire winner long before Gilmer? Just wondering.

If he leaves Gilmer, he definitely won't have a field named after him here, at least in his lifetime, in my opinion. He IS the winningest coach the Buckeyes have ever had up to this point, in just 12 seasons, with a record of 134-22, 3 finals appearances, and 2 state championships. It surely can't be because of the money..... Gilmer was his first HC/AD position. He's coached previously at Jacksonville and Big Sandy.

Tenure! Twenty years plus, in my humble opinion.

Sounds like Coach Traylor's looking for a bigger field to be named after him.

Most of the time yes but not always.

This is quite possibly the greatest interview answer in the history of football coaching!
Banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. -- Thomas Jefferson 1802
